The surety of the sunday Law.

Noah preached for 120 years then the end came.If the messengers of God take their eyes of God,If they do not behold nor discern the tokens of His coming they can get discouraged. More so ,If by chance Seventh Day Adventist reject the advancing light they are sure to be as the disciples on the day of the crucifixion.
The disciples went fishing, for them their hope was lost. They misunderstood the Saviours death,His mission and His message. This left them in a scattered state, spiritually and literally.

With the principles of life, spiritual things and the none changing nature of man and God all things being equal we can expect the same to happen to the spiritual Jews of this time (SDA) .If they disregard,or are indifferent to the truth for the hour, or eat and drink with the drunken and smite the messengers or are not moved by sure Word and the Holy Spirit, they are almost sure to repeat the same history. Another aspect to add to the equation is Lucifer, surely he will not stand idly by but will lead the professed people of God into strong delusion thinking that truth is error and error is truth (Isa 66:1-4, 2Thes 2:10-12). A confused Seventh Day Adventist will receive the mark of the Beast rather than the seal of God.  "For God is not the author of confusion" neither can those "who follow the Lamb" be deceived into doing nothing or fighting the message of the hour.

Ellen White Expressed the experience of the professed people of God beautifully :

"While I was praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell upon me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them, when a voice said to me, "Look again, and look a little higher." At this I raised my eyes, and saw a straight and narrow path, cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the city, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the beginning of the path, which an angel told me was the midnight cry. This light shone all along the path and gave light for their feet so that they might not stumble. If they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the city, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and said the city was a great way off, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would hem by raising His glorious right arm, and from His arm came a light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted, "Alleluia!" Others rashly denied the light behind them and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out, leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and lost sight of the mark and of Jesus, and fell off the path down into the dark and wicked world below. Soon we   heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming. The living saints, 144,000 in number, knew and understood the voice, while the wicked thought it was thunder and an earthquake. When God spoke the time, He poured upon us the Holy Ghost, and our faces began to light up and shine with the glory of God, as Moses' did when he came down from Mount Sinai.
The 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious star containing Jesus' new name.{ Early Writing 15.1}.

So what about the tokens of His coming for present day Seventh Day Adventist ?
God has always given his people light along the way from the fall of Eden to the slaying of Satan and the Sinful Light was ever present to the people of the earth, the witnessing angels and the inhabitants of the un-fallen worlds.  The testimony of Gods providence His long suffering His mercy and his saving grace are ever before the occupants of the universe.God will be proven true and loving while Lucifer will be proven a the father of lies even from the beginning.

Our tokens of light for this present time could be found in the present truth messages of the hour. She said Ellen white that is in the quotations above from her first vision from Early writings says God send the light in the time of waiting and waning and discouragement : " But soon some grew weary, and said the city was a great way off, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would hem by raising His glorious right arm, and from His arm came a light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted, "Alleluia!"
But not all accept the light. Light is symbolic of sensational truth, righteousness, understanding , increase of knowledge from God.
  • God provided this in the messages He gave to NOAH. Repent, the flood is coming
  • God provided this light in the messages given to Moses. Prepare to leave Egypt.
  • Elijah was sent with the light choose ye this day whom ye would serve on Mount Carmel.
  • Nehemiah was given the message Go up and rebuild Jeruselem.
  • Light came when John stood on the Jordan and said bring forth character shown in repentance.
  • The Millerites brought the light that showed the beginning of the investigative Judgement.
  • God raises up a people do diliver the light bringing to view the events connected with the closing of the investigative Judgement.
  •
What are these events ,what are these tokens of our coming king that was given to Seventh Day Adventism here at the end of the World.
  • Gods people turning away from truth in events that leads up to Ezekiel 8 that leads our people to the back facing the temple and face towards the Sun.
  • Events involving the restraining of Islam as the Pioneers of Adventism understood it in the trumpets of Rev 8,9,11.
  • Events involving the Wild man of Islam Gen 16:12 His hands being against every man's hand and the whole world against them. see it here
  • Events marking the papacy overcoming the 3 obstacles Atheism (Communism) fulfilled 1989 fall of Comunism,The Glorious Land(USA) (in progress),then Egypt (the world) Soon to come via the Sunday laws. Daniel 11:40-42
  • Events marking the Papacy controlling the finances of the world that will bring in the problem of buying and selling thus forcing many to take the Mark of the Beast Daniel 11:43.(Economic callaps to move to this new system is inevitable)
  • All these above leads up to the Sunday Law. "By His hand " Legislation  see the line upon line studies here
  • The plagues fall then.
Then Michael will stand up in Daniel 12:1. Probation close for all on the earth.
The faithful, those who have little no trust in self.those who are not intoxicated about the self-exaltation,those who have received and survive the ridicule of the
  1. Footmen(our people).
  2. The horsemen (Apostate protestant).
  3. Survive the swelling of the Jordan ( the Papal persecution and Dominion for a time).
These the faithful will survive the overmastering deception of the impersonation of Christ by Lucifer himself.
While  "Those who have yielded step by step to worldly demands, and conformed to worldly customs, will then yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. At that time the gold will be separated from the dross." . {Prophets and Kings, p. 188}

The light has been given, Tokens of our coming King have been clearly presented but multitudes live as though these things have never been reveal. Some are looking at Pastors to trickle the information down. They expect a Grand announcement to come from General Conference  saying its time to get ready.
Many rely on what others have preached rather than testing things for themselves. Not realising that when the shepherds are smitten the sheep will scatter. Many fail to realise they have to stand the test alone when all earthly support is cut off. And So there preparation is weak . They build on shifting sand instead of the Solid rock..

To deny Spirit of Prophecy,to deny the foundations of our faith, to be indifferent to counsel,to neglect the faith once delivered to the saints,to run to Egypt ( the Government) for assistance is to surely build your house on the sand.
When the Storm, tempest, winds and waves of the Sunday law,the persecution, the slaying of the commandment keeping people, the denial of sustenance for rejection of Papal creed, when church gatherings are no more, when Commities and board meetings and budgets cease ,When all these come upon us as an overwhelming surprise will you as an individual stand?
Will the surface reading themes of Sabbath school lessons suffice, will the mothers day and Christmas programs strengthen, will the retreats and fun days and fashion shows sustain, wil the dancing and swaying in the pews encourage ?

But Will the understanding the times and judgements, understanding the mystery of iniquity (Self exaltation) Isa14, Romans 1:28-32 and experiencing the mystery of Godliness ( Col 1:25-27) the thirst for the Christlike nature before the Sunday Law be your experience. Would understanding the Sure word of Prophecy rather than the darkness and winds of doctrines keep you steady ?

What would be your experience ?
You think about it. its your life !

God has given ample time and ample preparation for those who seek a better place.
God has and is giving the light for this time.
How much longer will He Hold the Winds for His people?
Evidence suggest its not long again.

"We are on the very verge of the time of trouble, and perplexities that are scarcely dreamed of are before us. A power from beneath is leading men to war against Heaven. Human beings have confederated with satanic agencies to make void the law of God. The inhabitants of the world are fast becoming as the inhabitants of the world in Noah's day, who were swept away by the Flood, and as the inhabitants of Sodom, who were consumed by fire from heaven. The powers of Satan are at work to keep minds diverted from eternal realities. The enemy has arranged matters to suit his own purposes. Worldly business, sports, the fashions of the day --these things occupy the minds of men and women. Amusements and unprofitable reading spoil the judgement. In the broad road that leads to eternal ruin there walks a long procession. The world, filled with violence, reveling, and drunkenness, is converting the church. The law of God, the divine standard of righteousness, is declared to be of no effect."

"fiscal union"= Lost of sovereignty,Total controle=Revelation 13:16,17

Before you read on what the BBC has to say about a FISCAL UNION it would prudent to understand what this term really mean.

Wikki Says :
Fiscal union is the integration of the fiscal policy of nations or states. Under fiscal union decisions about the collection and expenditure of taxes are taken by common institutions, shared by the participating governments. For example, in federal nations such as the United States, fiscal policy is determined to a large extent by the central government, which is empowered to raise taxes, borrow and spend. It is often proposed that the European Union adopt a form of fiscal union. Most member states of the EU participate in economic and monetary union (EMU), based on the euro currency, but most decisions about taxes and spending remain at the national level.
Control over fiscal policy is a traditionally considered central to national sovereignty, and today there is no substantial fiscal union between independent nations. However the EU has certain limited fiscal powers. It has a role in deciding the level of VAT (consumption taxes) and tariffs on external trade. It also spends a budget of many billions of euro. There is furthermore a Stability and Growth Pact among members of the Eurozone (common currency area) intended to co-ordinate the fiscal policies of member states.

Today's BBC news says:
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said Europe is working towards setting up a "fiscal union", in a bid to resolve the eurozone's debt crisis.
She told the Bundestag that a new EU treaty was needed to set up such a union and impose budget discipline.
On Monday she is to meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has also called for EU treaty changes.
EU leaders have been under pressure to do more to tackle the debt crisis, amid concern about the survival of the euro.
In her speech, Mrs Merkel promised "concrete steps towards a fiscal union" - in effect close integration of the tax-and-spend polices of individual eurozone countries, with Brussels imposing penalties on members that break the rules.
"We need budget discipline and effective crisis management mechanism," she said. "So we need to change the treaties or create new treaties."

not included in the article is the definition of the word "TREATY" :
A treaty is an express agreement under international law entered into by actors in international law, namely sovereign states and international organizations. A treaty may also be known as an (international) agreement, protocol, covenant, convention or exchange of letters, among other terms. Regardless of terminology, all of these forms of agreements are, under international law, equally considered treaties and the rules are the same.[1]
Treaties can be loosely compared to contracts: both are means of willing parties assuming obligations among themselves, and a party to either that fails to live up to their obligations can be held liable under international law.

Article continues  : The German government has been pressing for changes to establish powers to veto national budgets in the eurozone that breach agreed rules.
"We have started a new phase in European integration," Mrs Merkel said.

But she made it clear that this was a long-term process that would take years.
On Thursday, Mr Sarkozy said a new European treaty governing relations between members was necessary to protect Europe's place in the world.
"We must confront those who doubt the stability of the euro and speculate on its break-up with total solidarity," Mr Sarkozy said.
Mr Sarkozy said the euro could not continue to exist unless eurozone economies pulled together, with France and Germany playing a key role to ensure "a zone of stability".
However Mr Sarkozy rejected suggestions that national budgets could be approved and regulated in Brussels, and said France would not give up its sovereignty.
No 'joint liability' In her speech on Friday, Mrs Merkel also reiterated her opposition to the European Central Bank (ECB) issuing "eurobonds" backed by all eurozone members.
"A joint liability for others' debts is not acceptable," she said. "Eurobonds are not a rescue measure in this crisis."
She added: "National responsibility and European solidarity serve each other."
Many in Germany argue that eurobonds would penalise countries with a high credit rating, and reduce the incentive of indebted governments to reform.

Analysts also say Berlin is opposed to wholesale intervention by the ECB because of the country's experience of hyperinflation in the 1920s.
However Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung daily said Mrs Merkel was willing to see the ECB step up its buying of bonds from indebted eurozone countries, as a bridging solution until budget controls took hold.
During their meeting in Paris on Monday, Mr Sarkozy and Mrs Merkel are to agree on joint proposals to be put to a meeting of European leaders next week.
Many analysts see that summit as a crucial moment in efforts to tackle the debt crisis.
European stock markets rose early on Friday, as Europe's leaders call for closer economic integration as the way to resolve the debt crisis
Meanwhile Mr Sarkozy is discussing the eurozone crisis with UK Prime Minister David Cameron in Paris.
Britain is concerned about the possible impact of a two-speed Europe, in which it could be left on the margins along with other countries outside the euro.

Royalblood: Now if the Eurozone challenge is solved or if the European Union succeed then many nations will see light in adopting such methods or may be forced to unite with others to remain competitive while giving up sovereignty . The Bible shows a world united by Zones  controle by 10 kings see here http://thetruthandthetruthalone.blogspot.com/2010/09/who-are-3-entities-that-make-up-modern.html
We know a United, a grouped of nations are easier to control rather than all these nations doing there own thing.  Thus the stage will be set for Revelation 13:16:17. The control of buying and selling One of the bases in which the Papacy will sit as queen on the throne of the earth for a short time hence bringing in the hidden agenda of persecuting Bible believing Christian like in the dark ages. This time is mentioned in Daniel 11:40-45 in detail and .Then Michael shall stand up Daniel 12:1.Christ Will stand up putting and end to all Evil and sin in the World.
Give your life to Jesus now, And he will bring more light(truth) He is the way the truth and the Light.John 14:6

"The enemy has used the chain of dependence to draw men together. They have united to destroy God's image in man, to counterwork the gospel by perverting its principles. They are represented in God's word as being bound in bundles to be burned. Satan is uniting his forces for perdition."{{Vol 6 Testimonies to the church  241.5}  written in 1901

The Euro-dream an experimental disaster that marks the seriousness of the times.

Mr Farage former opposition leader to the European Union tells it like it is to the president of the E.U.
Daniel 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

"There are not many, even among educators and statesmen, who comprehend the causes that underlie the present state of society. Those who hold the reins of government are not able to solve the problem of moral corruption, poverty, pauperism, and increasing crime. They are struggling in vain to place business operations on a more secure basis. If men would give more heed to the teaching of God's word, they would find a solution of the problems that perplex them.
The Scriptures describe the condition of the world just before Christ's second coming. Of the men who
by robbery and extortion are amassing great riches, it is written: "Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you." Times of Crisis. Its world wide and its only getting worse

The world is in for a big surprise. A stupendous crisis is before us.

"The Scriptures describe the condition of the world just before Christ's second coming. Of the men who by robbery and extortion are amassing great riches, it is written: "Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you." James 5:3-6.  {9T 13.4}
     But who reads the warnings given by the fast-fulfilling signs of the times? What impression is made upon worldlings? What change is seen in their attitude? No more than was seen in the attitude of the inhabitants of the Noachian world. Absorbed in worldly business and pleasure, the antediluvians "knew not until the Flood came, and took them all away." Matthew 24:39. They had heaven-sent warnings, but they refused to listen. And today the world, utterly regardless of the warning voice of God, is hurrying on to eternal ruin.  {9T 14.1}
The world is stirred with the spirit of war. The prophecy of the eleventh chapter of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment. Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place.  {
Testimonies to the church Vol 9 page 14.2}

The above Statement was written in 1909 in a time much different that outs today.

A Famine for bread and for spiritual food is coming!

Pension rallies hit French cities

The BBC's Christian Fraser describes the disruption caused by the strikes
Hundreds of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of France to register their anger over the government's austerity measures.
The rallies came as a 24-hour national strike disrupted flight and rail services, and closed schools.
Officials said 1.1 million people had joined protests, but unions claimed the figure was 2.5 million.
The activists are angry at government plans to overhaul pensions and raise the retirement age from 60 to 62.
France's retirement age is lower than many countries in Europe, but analysts say the issue is polarising politics in the country.

“Start Quote

The atmosphere is good-humoured, almost carnival. But this is a very serious day for the French unions”
End Quote Gavin Hewitt BBC Europe editor
Labour Minister Eric Woerth introduced the pensions bill to the National Assembly, warning of dire consequences if it did not pass.
"If we don't modify our pension plan, then tomorrow there will be no money left to pay the French pensions," he told parliamentarians.
Commuter woe
Under current rules, both men and women in France can retire at 60, providing they have paid social security contributions for 40.5 years - although they are not entitled to a full pension until they are 65.
The government says it will save 70bn euros (£58bn) by raising the retirement age to 62 by 2018, the qualification to 41.5 years, and the pension age to 67.
President Nicolas Sarkozy says reforms are needed to cope with an ageing population and the country's budget deficit.

EUROPE'S RETIREMENT AGES

  • France - 60
  • UK, Italy - 65 for men, 60 for women
  • Germany, Netherlands, Spain - 65
  • Greece - 65 for men, 62 for women
The government is also looking to find 100bn euros of savings in three years, and is planning cuts in the civil sector.
Some secondary school teachers went on strike on Monday, protesting against plans to cut 7,000 jobs in education.
State railway operator SNCF said fewer than half of its TGV high-speed services were running, and there was a greatly reduced service on many other lines.
Eurostar said its trains between France and London would operate normally.
Some air-traffic controllers walked out, forcing the cancellation or delay of about a quarter of flights from Paris airports.
Air France said it was operating all of its long-haul flights as planned, but short and medium-haul flights had been affected.
Migrant laws
Amid the disruption caused by strikes, the Interior Ministry said 1.1 million people had joined Tuesday's protests - making it a bigger protest than a previous one in June, where more than 800,000 people took part.
Huge crowds braved stormy weather across southern parts of France, while demonstrators in Paris and the north enjoyed autumn sunshine.
In Paris, protesters shouted through loud-hailers: "Slave-driving? No, no, no. Working more? No, no, no. Fair reforms? Yes, yes, yes."
Protester Michel Prouvier told AFP news agency: "We're going to have old people living in the street."
Activists were also keen to maker a wider point, angry at the recent deportation of about 1,000 Roma (Gypsies) and a host of proposed laws which they say unfairly target immigrants and minorities.
"Pensions are a pretext for protesting against the Sarkozy system," said Adji Ahoudian, a Socialist Party activist.
Among those concerns is a proposal banning the full face veil worn by Muslim women, which was passed by the lower house in July but is now up for debate in the Senate.
Senators are also expected to debate a controversial new security law which would see recent immigrants stripped of French citizenship if they committed serious crimes such as killing a police officer.
The law would also allow electronic tagging for foreign criminals facing deportation.

Guava days a come (Tough times hit T& T)

There is an old colloquial term used in my island that says :"Guava days a come".

It simply means tough times are ahead of us.

Excerpt from our local printed news. The trumpet is being sound when the armies are already at the Gates.

A somber looking Central Bank Governor Ewart Williams at the Central Bank Auditorium, Port of Spain, following the launch yesterday of the Bank's first Monetary Policy Report for the year

No economic growth and more job losses this year.

These are the projections of the Central Bank as Trinidad and Tobago emerges as one of the casualties of the global financial meltdown.

Central Bank Governor Ewart Williams yesterday painted a grim economic picture and tough times for Trinidadians and Tobagonians in the months ahead as the country continues to struggle with the effects of rising unemployment and high inflation and food prices.

"The indicators are that the rate of deceleration (of growth) is happening faster than was first thought," Williams said as the Bank released its first Monetary Policy Report for the year on the country's economic activity at the Central Bank Auditorium in Port of Spain. "There has been a significant reduction in sales and construction as well as a sharp decline in the sales of new and used cars. There have been various episodes in the energy and construction sectors," he said.

Central Bank data indicated that consumer confidence was also down with six out of every ten consumers expecting business conditions to worsen, the report said.

Retail sales have plummeted to 7.2 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2008 from 22.4 per cent in 2007 while new cars sales have dropped 42 per cent in the first quarter of 2009.

Bank credit expansion has decelerated and Williams said there was evidence that some commercial banks were actually refusing deposits from customers.

"The indicators show the economy is decelerating sharply," Williams said, adding that even though inflation (now at 11.7 per cent) had come down, food prices had fallen from their peak, they were still "significantly higher" than many countries in the world.

Core inflation, at around five per cent, was also still "extremely high", he said.

But the worst was yet to come.

Central Bank data projected that the real GDP projection this year would be "no growth" in the economy this year, or at best, just about one per cent this year, much lower than the 3.5 per cent last year.

It also means even greater job losses in the country in 2009.

"There will be a continued increase in job losses and lay-offs and unemployment which stood at 4.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2008 is expected to reach six to seven per cent before the end of the year," Williams suggested.

Thousands of people, particularly in the construction and energy sectors, have been laid off as energy prices and demand plummeted on world markets.

As joblessness in the country increases, Williams said there would be pressure on Government to develop a stimulus package to boost the economy.

Beyond any kind of stimulus to the economy, Williams suggested it would be prudent for Government to match any kind of package with "strict fiscal discipline".

He also stressed again that the Central Bank continued to intervene to sell foreign exchange to commercial banks and would maintain this policy since a depreciation in the exchange rate would complicate efforts to reduce inflation and contain wage pressures.

There is no move to devalue the currency, he said.

But depressed energy prices will continue to constrain the national budget and oil prices are unlikely to get to the US$80 to US$100 per barrel figure in the next few years, Williams said.

Therefore, there may need to be a recalibration of national budgets until 2014 of no higher than US$75 a barrel, he said.

STIMULUS THEN WAR history can open our eyes as to what is to come

By Nancy Levant
February 26, 2009
NewsWithViews.com

Let us begin with fact.

1. The world has been divided into global regions.

2. The U.S. has been fighting continuous global wars for a century.

3. Joseph Biden and Dick Cheney have publicly declared their current concerns for catastrophic events upon U.S. soil and/or U.S. assets.

4. President Obama is very concerned about catastrophic problems looming on the national horizon.

5. War causes infrastructure and rebuilding projects — always.

Now let us brainstorm.

1. As the world has been divided up into global regions and then sub-regions (America’s ten or eleven sub-regions), let us ponder a few of our global divisions. Region Asia appears to have been assigned the job of world manufacturing. Region Europe appears to have been assigned the job of world governing body since the global organizations are mostly located in Europe. Region America appears to have been assigned the role of world military. The Mideast region, world petroleum.

Now, America as world military goes hand in hand with President Obama’s plan, believing that universal service for all Americans between the ages of 18 to 25 should become mandatory and extended service being the prerequisite to college education. So, in other words, boys and girls will become world soldiers. So much for peace.

2. America has been shipping out American youth for a hundred years to serve in foreign conflicts. And after each and every conflict, and with our military being stretched over the entire planet, it would seem that we are indeed a global military force and not a national force. It is also suggested that at least part of the American military wear UN blue helmets, which also indicate that the American military is now a global military. And as pending legislation awaits to draft both men and women ages 18 to 41, and universal service is inches from mandatory for every young American ages 18 to 25 both male and female, one might guess that peace is not on the agenda and that “The Plan” also does not include peace. One might assume or guess that war is, in fact, an intended agenda item.

3. Former republican vice-president and the current democratic vice-president having both declared a concern for terrorism on U.S. soil and/or U.S. assets suggest insider information or a bi-partisan crystal ball. Therefore, let us ponder another disaster.

After 9/11, we had ourselves quite an infrastructure project — billions and billions of dollars for rebuilding and fixing infrastructure. Massive contracts, massive grant-funded projects, massive profits from massive numbers of infrastructure partners — nothing like war, targets, and damage to create stimulus infrastructure projects to put the people back to work in a country who purposefully eliminated its national jobs in exchange for third-world workers and corporate profits.

4. Our president is worried about catastrophic homeland damage without his nearly trillion dollar stimulus package. His plan to save America is to rebuild America, based upon “change”, while at the same time, he announces universal service requirements for all 18 through 25 year olds, and raises a homeland army to be used on homeland soil while the former American military now serves under global organizations and all over the world, except, of course, in America.

5. Catastrophe always creates the rebuilding of infrastructure which is the basis and foundation of the largest stimulus package in the history of the world. So we ponder, is catastrophe needed to keep the economic stimulus ball rolling?

Now, let us finally consider the U.S. auto industry. Let us assume that the billions handed to this industry came with a few strings attached. Does the federal government or the Federal Reserve Corp. have leans on the U.S. automakers? Do they now own the automakers? And assuming America is the world’s military force, are the automakers going to retool, so to speak, to serve the global war effort? Are they going to build military equipment versus automobiles? Remembering that “human settlements” are now funded with pedestrian walkways and bikeways — auto-free, so to speak.

Keep your eyes wide open. The results of ignorance and apathy have arrived at our doorsteps. Our global job is not to manufacture automobiles. Trust me on this one. Watch for the “retooling” to unfold. Perhaps, the saving grace of the auto industry will suddenly become tanks and helicopters. After all, there is nothing new in history. We have retooled before to serve the war effort. Nationalization of the banks will, of course, be next.

History, history, history, ladies and gentlemen. Let it, therefore, be said, the engine that drives all governments, all economies, and all politicians is and has forever been war/stimulus/restructuring. Same story, new political propaganda language, but the same old story. “Change,” you say? I don’t think so.

(Pink Slips) List of companies cutting jobs

Pink slips: List of companies cutting jobs in this Economic Downturn and (how many)

The layoff count in the tech industry is piling up. The list of companies cutting jobs to rein in costs is getting longer with each passing day. As the economic downturn spreads, layoffs are being heard at who’s who of the tech word. From IBM to Google to Microsoft, no tech giant seems to be unscathed by economic turmoil.
pink_slip
Tech giants like Intel Corp and Sony are laying off thousands of employees, while they struggle to sustain their profit margins. And the scariest part is that many analysts expect several more thousands jobs to go this year as the recession forces the industry to slash marketing and capital spending.

Here’s a peep into pink slip show of technology giants.

Google Inc has jettisoned over 5,000 temporary workers in a recent austerity drive spurred by the recession. However, the Internet search leader still intends to spend billion dollars on product research, development and acquisitions during the next two years.

The spending plans were outlined in a regulatory filing that also provided some clues about the magnitude of a recent payroll purge targeting Google’s legion of contractors and other workers who aren’t considered full-time or part-time employees.

For instance, Google revealed it has 24,400 employees, including 4,300 interns, temporary workers and contractors. This contrasts sharply with the roughly 10,000 contractors that Google co-founder Sergey Brin said the company had in October. Google acknowledged in late November that it planned to significantly reduce the number of its contractors and retain all of its full-time employees.

Recently, in a statement on its official blog, Google Senior Vice President, Engineering and Research, Alan Eustace said the company was eliminating some engineering jobs at various locations across the world.

microsoft_building

Microsoft Corp will make the first mass layoffs in its 34-year history, cutting 5,000 jobs as demand for personal computers falls and even one of the world’s richest companies gets burned by the recession.

The company announced the cuts last week as it reported an 11 per cent drop in second-quarter profit, which fell short of Wall Street’s expectations. Microsoft shares plunged more than 11 per cent.

At Microsoft, the cuts appeared to reflect uncertainty about when times will get better. The company said it could not issue a forecast for earnings and profits for the rest of the year.

The layoffs, starting with 1,400 last week, will affect workers in research and development, marketing, sales, finance, legal and corporate affairs, human resources and information technology, and mostly in Redmond, Washington, where the company is based. The cuts are expected to touch virtually every division and include the computer programmers who write code for existing and future applications.

The software maker won’t stop hiring entirely. During the conference call, Ballmer said the company will add new jobs in the next 18 months to support key areas, including Web search, so the total number of employees will drop by 2,000 to 3,000. Microsoft employs 94,000 people overall.

texas_instruments

The second-largest US chipmaker Texas Instruments Inc announced plans to cut 12 percent of jobs as the company copes with a slowdown in orders.

The recession and slumping demand for mobile-phone chips prompted Texas Instruments to eliminate 1,800 jobs and shed an additional 1,600 through voluntary retirements. The savings from the move, along with cutbacks at its wireless business last year, will save about $700 million a year, the company said. The job cuts, which should be completed by the third quarter, will cost about $300 million in severance payouts and other expenses.

Texas Instruments set out last year to find a buyer for a division that makes so-called baseband chips, the main component in mobile phones. The company has given up on finding a buyer and will just let the business wind down.

Slowing mobile-phone sales are hurting demand for Texas Instruments’ digital chips, which run the devices.

ibm_office1

World’s largest technology employer, International Business Machines Corp (IBM), has cut at least 2,800 jobs last week to trim costs as customers reduce spending.

The firings took place in the sales and distribution unit and software division, according to a copy of a January 21 separation agreement sent by Lee Conrad, national coordinator for the Alliance for IBM. According to the Alliance@IBM, a member of the AFL-CIO, the largest US labour union federation, IBM cut 1,419 jobs in its software division and 1,449 jobs in sales and distribution.

Job cuts helped Armonk, New York-based IBM boost earnings last quarter as sales fell in all units except the software division. Selling, general and administrative expenses dropped 3.1 per cent to $5.83 billion in the period.

Workforce-reduction costs increased about $380 million from the year-earlier period. The company typically has annual costs related to job cuts of about $300 million to $400 million, Chief Financial Officer Mark Loughridge said last week on a conference call. The costs in 2009 will probably be in that range, though they will be weighted toward the earlier part of the year, he said.

Employees had speculated on Alliance’s website this month that there could be as many as 16,000 job cuts. IBM has frequently pruned its workforce over the past few years. It had two waves of job cuts in 2007, totaling more than 2,000 positions.

intel_office

Intel Corp said that it would close manufacturing plants in Malaysia and the Philippines, as well as its only remaining factory in Silicon Valley, cutting as many as 6,000 jobs.

The announcement came a day after the world’s largest maker of microprocessors used in personal computers slashed prices on a number of its chips and a week after it reported a decline in fourth-quarter revenue.

Intel said it would close two assembly test facilities in Penang, Malaysia, and one in Cavite, Philippines. It will also halt production at a wafer fabrication facility in Hillsboro, Oregon, as well as its Santa Clara, California plant — a factory connected to its headquarters and the only one left in Silicon Valley.

The actions will result in a reduction of 5,000 to 6,000 jobs, Intel said. It ended 2008 with around 84,000 employees. Not all cuts at the affected plants will lead to job losses and some workers will be offered positions at other facilities, it said, adding that the restructuring will take place between now and the end of 2009.

amd

Advanced Micro Devices Inc will eliminate 1,100 jobs, cut salaries and take a new $622 million charge for its acquisition of graphics chip maker ATI, bringing total writeoffs for the deal to $3.17 billion.

AMD, which trails Intel Corp in the computer chip market, said the salary decreases range from 20 per cent for its two top executive to 5 per cent for lower level employees in North America and voluntary pay cuts in other regions.

The company, which has been criticised for overpaying for its $5.4 billion 2006 purchase of ATI Technologies Inc, warned in December it would have to take an additional charge after taking a $800 million impairment charge in its June quarter and more than $1.5 billion in writeoffs taken in 2007.

As part of its cost cuts, it said Chairman Hector Ruiz and Chief Executive Dirk Meyer will temporarily take 20 per cent salary cuts, while US and Canadian executives at the level of vice president and higher will take 15 per cent cuts.

North American employees who are not eligible for overtime pay will take 10 per cent cuts, while overtime-eligible employees will see their pay reduced 5 per cent. It is also implementing voluntary pay reduction measures for employees outside North America.

seagate

Seagate Technology has replaced its top two executives and said it plans to cut 800 jobs - 10 percent of its US work force - as the hard drive maker endures a bruising slowdown in technology spending.

The company also announced that it plans to cut 10 percent of its 8,000 US-based workers. It has 53,000 workers worldwide. Seagate is the world’s largest maker of computer hard disk drives, with more than 30 percent of the global market. But its business has suffered badly because of the economic meltdown, which has sapped information technology budgets and demand for new personal computers and servers that use Seagate’s products.

Oversupply in the industry has also hurt Seagate and other disk drive manufacturers.

dell_office

Dell Inc, the world’s No. 2 PC maker, will cut about 1,900 of 3,000 jobs at its manufacturing plant in Limerick in the west of Ireland.

Dell, which ranks itself as Ireland’s largest exporter, largest technology company and second largest company overall, said that it would move production of computer systems for customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to its Polish plant and third-party manufacturing partners.

Dell cut more than 8,000 jobs last year and struggled to regain market share it lost to larger rival Hewlett-Packard Co. It also said last year it would outsource more manufacturing to cut costs.

motorola

Seems the predictions of a tough 2009 for the cellphone market have started coming true. According to a report in a leading daily, more than 200 people Motorola India had hired just a few months ago to drive its mobile handsets business have been laid off.

The company has decided to stick to its current model of doing business through distributors, says the report. Industry sources said that Motorola paid all the laid-off sales personnel two months salary in lieu of the notice period.

The company is also reported to have issued pink slips to at least 100 of its 4,000 employees in India in December. It is, however, not clear if the current number of employees given pinkslips includes these.

The December move was said to be a part of the Illinois-based company’s earlier announced strategy of slashing 3,000 jobs, or about 5 per cent of its global workforce.

lenovo

Lenovo Group said that it will lay off 2,500 workers, or about 11 per cent of its work force, as part of a plan aimed at helping the computer maker to remain competitive amid the global economic downturn.

The Beijing-based company, the world’s fourth-largest PC maker, also warned it expects to report a loss for its fiscal third quarter ended December 31.

Lenovo said the job cuts will come from across the company’s global operations. The company also plans to cut executive compensation by between 30 per cent and 50 per cent, including merit pay, long-term incentives and other performance-based payments this year.

In addition, Lenovo said it is consolidating its Asia Pacific and China operations into a single business unit. The company also will relocate its call center operations from Toronto to Morrisville, NC. Lenovo expects to save about $300 million in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2010 as a result of its restructuring plan. But it anticipates it will book a pretax charge of about $150 million, the bulk of which will be taken in its fiscal fourth quarter.

sony_office

Sony is slashing 8,000 jobs, or 5 per cent of its global electronics work force, aiming to cut costs by $1.1 billion a year as a global downturn batters profits.

Sony Corp said it will cut the jobs from its electronics operations, which employ about 160,000 workers, by the end of March, 2010. It did not give a country breakdown for the layoffs. The Japanese giant has already cut production and lowered inventories, but tough times demand more drastic efforts, the company said in a statement.

Sony will end production at some plants, including one in France that makes tape and other recording media, and will continue moving electronics production to lower-cost areas. Manufacturing sites will be reduced by about 10 per cent from 57 today, it said.

The new business plan will deliver more than 100 billion yen ($1.1. billion) in cost savings a year by March 2010, according to Sony.

The company will also postpone a planned investment to boost production of LCD TVs and trim spending in semiconductors. It plans to outsource a portion of the production it had planned for image sensors for mobile phones.

sun_microsystems

Sun Microsystems Inc plans to cut as many as 6,000 jobs as the company tries to cope with plunging sales of server computers to financial firms, market-share losses to bigger competitors, and a spiraling stock price.

The reduction, which will eliminate as much as 18 per cent of the staff, will shave $700 million to $800 million from annual expenses, Sun said in an emailed statement. The moves will cost as much as $600 million in the next 12 months.

The Santa Clara, California-based company is cutting back in response to “global economic realities,” CEO Jonathan Schwartz said. Sun, the fourth-largest server maker, last month posted its second loss in three quarters and said its financial-services customers were curbing orders until they have more liquidity.

The company sees this as a chance to spread adoption of Sun’s MySQL open-source database applications and Java programming language, which are free. Sun sells servers and service contracts with the software.

The Sun job cuts will take place worldwide, with most of the US positions eliminated in the third fiscal quarter. The company had about 33,000 employees at the end of September.

sap

German software giant SAP has declined to forecast revenue for 2009 and said that it would accelerate cost cuts to handle what it called a “challenging operating environment” this year. As a cost cutting measure the company, which sees tough conditions in H1 2009, plans to downsize its workforce.

SAP, the world’s biggest maker of business management software, said in a statement that 2008 operating profit rose 4 per cent to 2.84 billion euros ($3.75 billion) and total sales for the group gained 14 per cent to 8.46 billion euros.

The sales number was exactly in line with the average in a Reuters poll of analysts. The Walldorf-based company had told investors on October 6 that business suddenly fell off in the closing two weeks of its third quarter, which ended September 30.

Its closest competitor, US company Oracle, in December posted second-quarter results that were better than feared and gave investors reason to hope that Oracle would manage the economic slowdown relatively well.

sprint

Sprint Nextel, the third-largest US mobile network operator, will cut up to 8,000 jobs, or more than 14 per cent of its workforce in a move designed to cut annual payroll costs by up to $1.2bn. The job cuts are among the most aggressive announced by US telecommunications operators. The company, which cut 4,000 jobs last year, currently has around 56,000 workers.

The latest job cuts are aimed at making the company more competitive in the face of slowing industry growth and “financially secure in a challenging economic environment.” Sprint added that the cuts will be spread across all levels and areas of the company although customer care operations will be less affected as part of its effort to bolster customer satisfaction.

Last month AT&T, Sprint’s larger rival, announced plans to cut 12,000 jobs, or about 4 per cent of its staff. As part of its efforts to cut costs including capital spending, Sprint Nextel recently folded its embryonic nationwide WiMax broadband wireless data network into a joint venture with Clearwire and other investors.

At the same time Sprint repaid $2 billion in debt in the second half of 2008, and renegotiated its credit terms to ensure it has sufficient liquidity to pay debt coming due during the next two years.

att

Pressured by the economic turmoil and the mounting loss of traditional phone customers, AT&T Inc is cutting 12,000 jobs, about 4 per cent of its work force.

The Dallas-based telecommunications company, the US’ largest, said the job cuts will begin this month and run throughout 2009. The company also plans to lower its capital spending next year, and one analyst estimates that reduction could be as much as $2 billion.

The 300,000-person company has announced layoffs several times over the past few years, including in April, when it said it would eliminate 4,600 jobs, but it has been hiring at the same time. This is the first time since the company bought BellSouth Corp in 2006 that it said overall staffing would decline.

AT&T spokesman Walt Sharp said the layoffs will be “across the company and across the country,” but would not specify what departments and cities would be most affected.

ericsson-logo

Swedish telecom equipment giant Ericsson posted a stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter profit, promising deeper savings as it announced 5,000 job cuts. The company, which released the results a fourth consecutive forecast-topping report failed to give a specific business outlook. That gave analysts some pause for thought.

Ericsson’s closest rivals — Nokia Siemens Networks and Alcatel-Lucent — have forecast for the market to shrink this year as telecom operators cap spending and Asian rivals put pressure on prices. Only this month, Nortel Networks, North America’s biggest telecom gear maker, filed for bankruptcy.

The financial Crisis! Gods Advice given in the 1900s goes unheeded

The Total consequence of greed.is the fall we are experiencing at this time around the world .
If only the world could have heeded the advice given centuries ago By Ellen G white.
Below are some quotations from her writings made in the 1900s

Her holy spirit writing says:

From a worldly point of view, money is power; but from the Christian standpoint, love is power. Intellectual and spiritual strength are involved in this principle. Pure love has special efficacy to do good, and can do nothing but good. It prevents discord and misery and brings the truest happiness. Wealth is often an influence to corrupt and destroy; force is strong to do hurt; but truth and goodness are the properties of pure love. {AH 195.3}.

"Wealth gotten in haste shall be diminished; but he that gathereth by labor shall have increase." {AH 391.8}
"The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death." {AH 391.9}
"The borrower is servant to the lender." {AH 391.10}
"He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure."
392
{AH 391.11}
The eighth commandment condemns . . . theft and robbery. It demands strict integrity in the minutest details of the affairs of life. It forbids overreaching in trade and requires the payment of just debts or wages." {AH 392.1}
Shun Debt.--Many poor families are poor because they spend their money as soon as they receive it. {AH 392.4}
You must see that one should not manage his affairs in a way that will incur debt. . . . When one becomes involved in debt, he is in one of Satan's nets, which he sets for souls. . . . {AH 392.5}
Abstracting and using money for any purpose, before it is earned, is a snare.
393
{AH 392.6}
Words to One Who Lived Beyond His Income.-- You ought not to allow yourself to become financially embarrassed, for the fact that you are in debt weakens your faith and tends to discourage you; and even the thought of it makes you nearly wild. You need to cut down your expenses and strive to supply this deficiency in your character. You can and should make determined efforts to bring under control your disposition to spend means beyond your income. {AH 393.1}

The Curse of Hoarded Wealth.--Those who acquire wealth for the purpose of hoarding it leave the curse of wealth to their children. It is a sin, an awful, soul-periling sin for fathers and mothers to do this, and this sin extends to their posterity. Often the children spend their means in foolish extravagance, in riotous living, so that they become beggars. They know not the value of the inheritance they have squandered. Had their fathers and mothers set them a proper example, not in hoarding but in imparting their wealth, they would have laid up for themselves treasure in heaven and received a return even in this world of peace and happiness and in the future life eternal riches.
"The deceitfulness of riches." The love of riches has an infatuating, deceptive power. Too often those who possess worldly treasure forget that it is God who gives them power to get wealth. They say, "My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth." Deut. 8:17. Their riches, instead of awakening gratitude to God, lead to the exaltation of self. They lose the sense of their dependence upon God and their obligation to their fellow men. Instead of regarding wealth as a talent to be employed for the glory of God and the uplifting of humanity, they look upon it as a means of serving themselves. Instead of developing in man the attributes of God, riches thus used are developing in him the attributes of Satan. The seed of the word is choked with thorns.

The coming Crisis(note when these articles were written)

Warning and Assurance from Jesus

Christ upon the Mount of Olives rehearsed the fearful judgments that were to precede His second coming: "Ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: . . . Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows" [Matt. 24:6-8]. While these prophecies received a partial fulfillment at the destruction of Jerusalem, they have a more direct application in the last days.--Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 753 (1899).

The terrible reports we hear of murders and robberies, of railway accidents and deeds of violence, tell the story that the end of all things is at hand. Now, just now, we need to be preparing for the Lord's second coming.--Letter 308, 1907 (Last Day Events, p. 23).

The nations are in unrest. Times of perplexity are upon us. Men's hearts are failing them for fear of the things that are coming upon the earth. But those who believe in God will hear His voice amid the storm, saying, "It is I; be not afraid."--Signs of the Times, Oct. 9, 1901.

Wars and Disasters

The tempest is coming and we must get ready for its fury by having repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord will arise to shake terribly the earth. We shall see troubles on all sides. Thousands of ships will be hurled into the depths of the sea. Navies will go down, and human lives will be sacrificed by millions. Fires will break out unexpectedly and no human effort will be able to quench them. The palaces of earth will be swept away in the fury of the flames. Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent. Confusion, collision, and death without a moment's warning will occur on the great lines of travel. The end is near, probation is closing. Oh, let us seek God while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near!--Messages to Young People, pp. 89, 90 (1890).

In the last scenes of this earth's history war will rage. There will be pestilence, plague and famine. The waters of the deep will overflow their boundaries. Property and life will be destroyed by fire and flood. We should be preparing for the mansions that Christ has gone to prepare for them that love Him.--Maranatha, p. 174 (1897).

Calamities Serve as Warnings

We are not now able to describe with accuracy the scenes to be enacted in our world in the future, but this we do know, that this is a time when we must watch unto prayer, for the great day of the Lord is at hand. --Selected Messages, book 2, p. 35 (1901).

What mean the awful calamities by sea--vessels hurled into eternity without a moment's warning? What mean the accidents by land--fire consuming the riches that men have hoarded, much of which has been accumulated by oppression of the poor? The Lord will not interfere to protect the property of those who transgress His law, break His covenant, and trample upon His Sabbath, accepting in its place a spurious rest day.

The plagues of God are already falling upon the earth, sweeping away the most costly structures as if by a breath of fire from heaven. Will not these judgments bring professing Christians to their senses? God permits them to come that the world may take heed, that sinners may be afraid and tremble before Him.--Manuscript Releases, vol. 3, p. 311 (1902).

Coming Events Are in the Hands of the Lord

The world is not without a ruler. The program of coming events is in the hands of the Lord. The Majesty of heaven has the destiny of nations as well as the concerns of His church in His own charge.--Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 753 (1889).

These symbolical representations [the fiery serpents in the wilderness] serve a double purpose. From them God's people learn not only that the physical forces of the earth are under the control of the Creator, but also that under His control are the religious movements of the nations. Especially is this true with reference to the enforcement of Sunday observance.--Manuscript Releases, vol. 19, p. 281 (1902).

In the great closing work we shall meet with perplexities that we know not how to deal with, but let us not forget that the three great Powers of heaven are working, that a divine hand is on the wheel, and that God will bring His purposes to pass.--Evangelism, p. 65 (1902).

In the annals of human history, the growth of nations, the rise and fall of empires, appear as if dependent on the will and prowess of man; the shaping of events seems, to a great degree, to be determined by his power, ambition, or caprice. But in the Word of God the curtain is drawn aside, and we behold, above, behind, and through all the play and counterplay of human interest and power and passions, the agencies of the All-merciful One, silently, patiently working out the counsels of His own will.--Prophets and Kings, pp. 499, 500 (c. 1914).

Judgments Coming on the Cities

Terrible shocks will come upon the earth, and the lordly palaces erected at great expense will certainly become heaps of ruins.--Manuscript Releases, vol. 3, p. 312 (1891).

When God's restraining hand is removed, the destroyer begins his work. Then in our cities the greatest calamities will come.--Manuscript Releases, vol. 3, p. 314 (1897).

The end is near and every city is to be turned upside down every way. There will be confusion in every city. Everything that can be shaken is to be shaken and we do not know what will come next. The judgments will be according to the wickedness of the people and the light of truth that they have had.--Manuscript Releases, vol. 1, p. 248 (1902).

O that God's people had a sense of the impending destruction of thousands of cities, now almost given to idolatry.--Evangelism, p. 29 (1903).

The time is near when large cities will be swept away, and all should be warned of these coming judgments.--Evangelism, p. 29 (1910).

Catastrophe-proof Buildings Will Become Ashes

I have seen the most costly structures in buildings erected and supposed to be fireproof, and just as Sodom perished in the flames of God's vengeance so will these proud structures become ashes. . . . The flattering monuments of men's greatness will be crumbled in the dust even before the last great destruction comes upon the world.--Selected Messages, book 3, p. 418 (1901).

Men will continue to erect expensive buildings, costing millions of money. Special attention will be called to their architectural beauty and the firmness and solidity with which they are constructed, but the Lord has instructed me that despite the unusual firmness and expensive display, these buildings will share the fate of the temple in Jerusalem.--Ellen G. White Comments, Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 5, p. 1098 (1906).

On one occasion, when in New York City, I was in the night season called upon to behold buildings rising story after story toward heaven. These buildings were warranted to be fireproof, and they were erected to glorify their owners and builders. . . .

The scene that next passed before me was an alarm of fire. Men looked at the lofty and supposedly fireproof buildings and said: "They are perfectly safe." But these buildings were consumed as if made of pitch. The fire engines could do nothing to stay the destruction. The firemen were unable to operate the engines.

I am instructed that when the Lord's time comes, should no change have taken place in the hearts of proud, ambitious human beings, men will find that the hand that had been strong to save will be strong to destroy. No earthly power can stay the hand of God. No material can be used in the erection of buildings that will preserve them from destruction when God's appointed time comes to send retribution on men for their disregard of His law and for their selfish ambition.--Testimonies for the Church, vol. 9, pp. 12, 13 (1909).
