ECONOMIC HARDSHIP
Bosnia Faces Social Unrest, Political Crisis Looms
The U.S. embassy declined to comment on the report, saying discussions on selection were still ongoing. Protests against economic hardship are spreading in Bosnia and the war-scarred and divided country is finding it hard to cope.Bosnia's Muslim-Croat parliament cancelled a session on Thursday rather than confront protesters complaining about its plans to pass a law cutting benefits to narrow a big budget gap.

Social unrest shakes a weary world

Social unrest – what the authorities prefer to call “mass incidents” – is spreading.

In China, millions of migrant workers have returned home earlier than usual for Chinese New Year because factories and businesses are shutting down.

Indeed, the government admitted last Monday that 20 million out of 130 million migrant workers who have formed the linchpin of the nation’s spectacular economic growth, are now out of work.

Crisis raises risk of social unrest in Asia
Agence France-Presse |

SINGAPORE - The global economic crisis heightens the potential for social unrest in Asia, where millions of people suddenly out of work will demand governments take swift and decisive action, analysts say.

And while the prospect of regimes being overthrown is remote at the moment, they say, it will depend also on how long and how deep the financial turmoil goes, in a region not unfamiliar with major political upheaval.

In a survey of 120 major cities, New York was found to be the ninth most unequal in the world and Atlanta, New Orleans, Washington, and Miami had similar inequality levels to those of Nairobi, Kenya Abidjan and Ivory Coast. Many were above an internationally recognised acceptable "alert" line used to warn governments.

"High levels of inequality can lead to negative social, economic and political consequences that have a destabilising effect on societies," said the report. "[They] create social and political fractures that can develop into social unrest and insecurity."

A Planet on the Brink: Economic Crash Will Fuel Social Unrest

Governments across the planet are preparing for a surge of violent protests from economic upheaval. Wars may follow.

The global economic meltdown has already caused bank failures, bankruptcies, plant closings, and foreclosures and will, in the coming year, leave many tens of millions unemployed across the planet. But another perilous consequence of the crash of 2008 has only recently made its appearance: increased civil unrest and ethnic strife. Someday, perhaps, war may follow.

America's Global Dominance predicted in the 1800s

America's Global Dominance was predicted in the 1800s, but along with such global leadership would be its strangle hold grip in every aspect of life one major area would be that of finance . This would bring the whole world to its knees .
The full effects of such is yet to be felt in the near future. Also America has latent power of which it would use in the future via its policies some of which are already being implemented via laws.

During his visit to the USA in April 2008, the Pope Benedict XVI talked to the major Christian groups, such as The Christian Coalition, The Christian Churches Together, and Catholic Campaign for America. All of these are working to stress Sunday as the day of rest in the USA. The greatest of these groups, The Christian Coalition, has a ten-point programme, point number 7 reading as follows: Throughout all the land a National Day of Rest shall be honoured by governments and industrial manufacturers and public shopping facilities.

Many have claimed, that something of this order never would be a burning issue, because the American Constitution says that Congress shall not make laws regulating religion. Now we see, though, that this issue once again is on the agenda. In 1888, certain members of Congress attempted to pass Sunday legislation in the USA, but their measure failed to gain the necessary votes. A.T. Jones and some other men then stood forward in the Congress and spoke against the Sunday Law some Congressmen wanted to introduce. In his speech to the Congress he said: “Every man who conducts himself as a good citizen is accountable alone to God for his religious faith, and is to be protected in worshipping God according to the dictates of his own conscience…there is no ground in justice nor in right for their claim that the majority should rule in matters of conscience.” He further said: “In all the powers thus delegated to Congress, there is no hint of any power to legislate upon any religious question, or in regard to the observance of any religious institution or rite. Therefore, this Sunday bill, being a religious bill, is unconstitutional; and any legislation with regard to it will be unconstitutional. Sunday being a religious institution, any legislation by Congress in regard to its observance, will be unconstitutional as long as the United States Constitution shall remain as it is now.
moneyNor is this all. The nation has been left in doubt as to whether the failure to delegate this power was or was not intentional. The first amendment to the Constitution, in declaring that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”, shows that the failure to delegate such power was intentional, and makes the intention emphatic by absolutely prohibiting Congress from exercising any power with regard to religion. It is impossible to frame a law on the subject of religion that will not prohibit the free exercise of religion. Therefore the first amendment to the Constitution absolutely prohibits Congress from even making any law with regard to any religious subject, or the observance of any religious rite or institution…God appointed the Sabbath for a purpose; and that purpose is that men should remember him in his works of creation, and worship him as Creator…those who are calling for this law is to have the State attempt to supply the religious sanctions which belong with the day of rest, and which only can keep it from being a day of idleness and a day of evil. But they know that the State has none of those religious sanctions; and they know that these will have to be supplied to the State by the church, and then the church will call upon the State, by its power, to force them upon the citizen…for the state to allow itself to be dictated to by the church as is here proposed by Mr. Small, is to render the church superior to the civil power, which can end in nothing but a religious despotism, which is the worst of all despotism. Thus by every line of reasoning that can spring from the subject, it is demonstrated that for the State to fix a day of compulsory rest can only end in evil. Therefore, my proposition is proved, that Sunday laws are not for the good of anybody…if you allow this legislation, you lead to the establishment of a new theocracy after the model of the papacy, and civil government has nothing to do with religious things. This bill is wholly religious; and if you begin this course of religious legislation, you will end only in a theocracy, - a man-made theocracy, - and that will be the papacy repeated.” (The National Sunday law, by Alonzo T. Jones, page 23, 46-47, 54-55, 78).

Now the catholic and fallen protestant members in the USA again try to introduce Sunday as a day of rest. Another major organisation, The Ten Commandments Commission, is also striving to have the unbiblical commandments of the Catechism accepted. These, of course, include Sunday as the day of rest. (You can compare the catechismal commandments with God’s Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:3-17.)
When Pope Benedict XVI visited the USA in April 2008, the Cardinal in Chicago, Ill., Francis George, turned to the Pope on behalf of the Catholic leaders in America, presenting a list of priorities shared with the Vatican for the next few years. One of the points was handing on the faith in the context of sacramental practice and the observance of Sunday worship.

More than a hundred years ago, Ellen G. White wrote the following about this topic: “The people of the United States have been a favoured people; but when they restrict religious liberty, surrender Protestantism, and give countenance to popery, the measure of their guilt will be full, and national apostasy will be registered in the books of heaven. The result of this apostasy will be national ruin” (Review and Herald, May 2, 1893). And: As America, the land of religious liberty shall unite with the papacy in forcing the conscience and compelling men to honour the false Sabbath, the people of every country on the globe will be led to follow her example. Foreign nations will follow the example of the United States. Though she leads out, yet the same crisis will come upon our people in all parts of the world (E. G. White, Maranatha, page 214).

How did she know America would be the leading nation of the free world way back in 1800.In the 1800s there was no indication that America will rise to Global dominance. Flesh and Blood did not reveal this to her.But by the Holy Spirit. The same God that reveal it all to John and Daniel.

When the USA introduces Sunday as the day of rest through a decree or legislation, it will initiate what is called in the Bible “the mark of the beast”, as foretold in Scripture.

On the website www.endtime.net everyone can read and see, that all the characteristics of the “beast” in the 13th Chapter of Revelation, verses 1-10, point to the papacy. One of the identifying characteristics of this “beast” is that it has a mark = the mark of the beast. The Catholic Church, in its own publications, says, that Sunday is a mark of its power and authority. (Catholic Record, London/Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923). The papacy = the beast, and it has a mark = Sunday as the day of rest. Hence, the papal Sunday rest = the mark of the beast. “The mark of the beast” has to do with worship. Since God demands worship on the Bible’s seventh day of the week, the Sabbath, and the papacy and fallen Protestantism demand worship on the Bible’s first day of the week, Sunday, we must choose our authority. When Sunday is introduced as the day of rest with force, a decree or legislation, then “the mark of the beast” is a fact. The Bible says this will be the last test before Jesus Christ returns.

moneyWe can see, how the USA and the Vatican co-operate, and soon, the USA will help the papacy in establishing “the mark of the beast” (Revelation 13:11-17). This being the last great test before the return of Jesus Christ, we are very close to the end of this world’s history. The Devil has been allowed to play his cards, showing his true colours, and God has been merciful and condescending in letting both Satan and all people make their choices in life. Now God will soon act and free His people (I Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 15:2; 20:4).

Both members of Congress, religious leaders and those working for Sunday as the national day of rest in the USA, will use every “trick” to put forward their arguments, and they will succeed. They know, that fear will lead people to make a decision. In their argumentation, they will employ fear of global climate change, fear of terrorism, fear of catastrophes, fear of the judgments of God (in consequence of not keeping Sunday as the day of rest).

We are living in the “last hour” of this world’s history. We are living in the hour of judgment, when God will close everyone’s account, deciding who is going to be saved, and who is going to be lost (Rev. 15: 8; Hebrews 9:27; II Corinthians 5:10). If we have humbled ourselves before God, having put all our sin on Jesus, thus obtaining the forgiveness of sins, and asked for power to walk daily with Jesus, we have nothing to fear of the future (I John 1:9 and 5:2).

When we know that persons are approaching a precipice, they must be warned. However, religious leaders are not warning us about the coming crisis. After all, we should expect religious leaders to be awake, but they are saying Peace, peace (Jeremiah 6:13-15; I Thessalonians 5:1-6). Their attitude sends people to sleep. What a strange situation! Here we are living in a period, when the end time prophecies of the Bible are coming true in front of our eyes, yet priests are proclaiming a soothing message. People, though, have to be alerted to the coming crisis, so that they can prepare both spiritually and physically. Now is the time to call to God for mercy. Now is the time to cleanse our hearts in subjection to Christ. Now is the time to pray for power to live righteously before God, so that the fruits of the Spirit may become evident in our lives. These characteristics are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance, and such like (Galatians 5:22). We all need the power of the Holy Spirit to live righteously before God, and to be His representatives in these end times! We are to be His witnesses, not in our own strength, but in the power of Him, Who works in us both to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Our eternal destiny depends on fearlessly and decidedly taking a stand for Jesus Christ.

Dear friend! The mark of the beast will soon be upon us. The end of the world will occur sooner, than many think. The end is near. Confusion will fill the earth, and there will be great changes and crises throughout the world. These things should not surprise us, because the Bible has told us in a nutshell what will be.

The coming Sunday law is bad news, for this law will pressurise people into accepting the false Sabbath, Sunday. This will mean the end of the liberty of conscience, and persecution against the people of God, who will refuse to accept the false Sunday Sabbath, will be kindled again, like in the Middle Ages, when the Catholic Church hunted down other Christians. Now they will be assisted by apostate Protestants, international laws, “hate laws,” laws against “discrimination,” powers and authorities.

On the other hand, the introduction of “the mark of the beast” is good news, because it shows the nearness of the Second Coming. Should you feel unprepared, now is the time to put your life in order before the return of Jesus!

Social unrest is inevitable if Financial fabric continues to unravel

Sad things will happen as the financial fabric of societies unravel.

More and more stories like the one you are about to read will become common in the daily news.

People will try to defend property and person as things get more desperate not only in America but world wide.

Homicide and other crimes will certainly increase phenomenally.

It is not only possible but also its inevitable that some nations may plunge into social unrest. The effects of this will be felt I suspect in the poorer nations first as there would be a fight for resources.

The bible does predict a time of trouble. Just mouse over the scriptures below.

Job 38:23 ,Psalms 27:5 ,Psalms 37:39,Psalms 41:1,Proverbs 25:19,Isaiah 33:2 ,Jeremiah 14:8,Daniel 12:1

The article

Alone in his mobile home off a winding dirt road, Jimmy Tanks heard a commotion at 2:30 a.m. just outside his bedroom window: Somebody was messing with his car.

The 67-year-old railroad retiree grabbed a gun, walked out the back door and confronted not a thief but a repo man and two helpers trying to tow off the Chrysler Sebring. Shots were fired, and Tanks wound up dead, a bullet in his chest.

The man who came to repossess the car, Kenneth Alvin Smith, is awaiting trial on a murder charge in a state considered a Wild West territory even by the standards of an industry that's largely unregulated nationally. Since Tanks' death last June, two other repo men from the same company Smith worked for were shot, one fatally.

"It's gotten to where it's a crazy world out there," said Smith, 50, an ex-Marine who preaches part-time and sings gospel music. Smith said Thursday that he fired in self-defense after Tanks fired a shot.

With the U.S. dealing with an economic slide that has cost millions of jobs, the number of vehicle repossessions is expected to rise 5 percent this year. That's after it jumped 12 percent to 1.67 million nationally in 2008, said Tom Webb, chief economist with Manheim Consulting, an automotive marketing firm. That followed a 9 percent increase in 2007, creating more opportunities for bad outcomes in an industry where armed confrontations and threats happen every day.

Joe Taylor, whose Florida-based company insures repossession companies, said licensing and training is the answer to avoiding such violence.

"If a guy is just put right on the street without training, the potential for violence is very, very high," said Taylor, who runs Insurance Services USA.

Federal law says workers can't "breach the peace" while repossessing items, but it doesn't go further to state just what that means, leaving definitions up to courts.

All three Alabama shootings were in the middle of the night, which an industry leader said was a sign of a problem.

"The smart operators aren't out there at 2 or 3 o'clock at night with people who can put you in a bad situation," said Les McCook, executive director of the American Recovery Association, a trade group for repossession companies.

It was June 26 that the repo man came for Tanks' car in Halsell, a tiny, rural Choctaw County town near the Mississippi line. Tanks already had filed for bankruptcy and was behind on his payments, court documents show.

Tanks heard a noise and went outside with a gun, something anybody would do, said Choctaw County Sheriff James Lovette, who knew Tanks for years. Smith was indicted Tuesday, but no charges were filed against a man and his teenage son who accompanied Smith, said Lovette.

Smith's defense lawyer, Rusty Wright, said Tanks came out of the trailer and fired, and that Smith "just wanted to stop him."

"This is not the gunslinging cowboy that people think about with repo guys," Wright said. "(Smith) wasn't out to kill the guy."

The sheriff declined comment on whether Tanks shot at Smith.

Lovette said Smith worked out of Birmingham with Ascension Recovery, a subsidiary of the Chicago-based Renovo Services. The same recovery firm employed a repo man who was shot and killed on Jan. 8 in Birmingham, as well as a third worker who was wounded while towing a vehicle in the city on Feb. 10.

The CEO of Renovo Services, David Cowlbeck, didn't respond to questions sent by e-mail about the fatal shootings. He called the unsolved February wounding of 30-year-old Jason Williamson "a random act of violence."

"We trust that the perpetrators are quickly apprehended and charged accordingly," Cowlbeck said in a statement.

Lovette is asking the Alabama Sheriff's Association to push a bill limiting the hours when repossession companies can operate and requiring them to contact local law enforcement before working in an area.

"There's a time and place for everything, and 3 a.m. is not it," said Lovette.

The three states that actively license and monitor recovery agents — California, Florida and Louisiana — report less violence than other states, Taylor said. But most state legislatures aren't interested in repossession law until people start dying, he said.

"You don't find many state legislators who have had a car repossessed. They are just unfamiliar with that world," said Taylor.

Tanks was killed just two weeks after he married Georgia Tanks, who keeps a floral spray at the spot where he died beside the car, which is long gone. She wasn't at home the night he was killed because she was away teaching Vacation Bible School in nearby Meridian, Miss. She has filed a wrongful death suit in the slaying.

"It's senseless," she said, wiping away tears as she looked at their wedding photograph. "The legal stuff I don't know anything about. I just know God is going to let justice be done."

Smith, too, is haunted by what happened that night.

"I've played it through in my mind a million times to see if I could have done something different," he said. "I couldn't have."

The Historic President ( not an admiration Just an observation)

As we keep our eyes on global events regarding leaders in politics ,leaders in religion, leaders in geopolitics .One should read between the lines in international news.It is listening to what is not being said and what is said that we see prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes.Again many are fooled into watching Israel and are taking there eyes of America and the Vatican(Rome). These are to two end times Geopolitical nations we should watch that are mention in Revelation (is the vatican a nation? Yes , do the research).

I saw this article and i think i should share a few observations:

  1. This is a Historic presidency Being a black Man or half breed according to his words is just one.
  2. The Whole World's future depends on this man(Obama). If America sinks the whole planet goes down with it.
  3. He commands the attention of every one.He brings races together, religions together, opposing parties together, nations come at the table.
  4. He receives GENUINE standing ovations where ever he goes (NO SHOES YET).
  5. The whole world waits with baited breath to see the outcome.
  6. He is the biggest risk taker i have known thus far.

See below parts of an article from Washington Post.

President Obama's first budget -- with its eye-popping $1.75 trillion deficit, a health-care fund of more than $600 billion, a $150 billion energy package and proposals to tax wealthy Americans even beyond what he talked about during his campaign -- underscores the breadth of his aspiration to reverse three decades of conservative governance and use his presidency to rapidly transform the country.

But in adopting a program of such size, cost and complexity, Obama has far exceeded what other politicians might have done. As a result, he is now gambling with his own future and the success of his presidency.

William A. Galston of the Brookings Institution cited three parallels to Obama's far-reaching program: Franklin D. Roosevelt's 1932 New Deal blueprint, Lyndon B. Johnson's 1965 Great Society agenda, and Ronald Reagan's 1981 call to dramatically limit the size and power of government, which set the framework for public policy debate ever since.

"A consequence of the economic events of the last two years has been to blow up that framework," Galston said. "It has lost substantial public credibility. President Obama now has his chance to make his case for a fundamentally different approach."

But Galston outlined a series of obstacles that stand in Obama's path, beginning with sticker shock. The numbers in the new budget are unlike anything the country and its elected leadership are used to dealing with. Not only will the current deficit reach $1.75 trillion, next year's will also top $1 trillion and the deficits will remain above $500 billion until fiscal 2019, the last year projected in yesterday's document. Will Congress simply choke on the size of those numbers?

Audacity has always been Obama's stock in trade. At stake in this endeavor is the well-being of a nation now in an economic crisis of historic proportions. The president's budget blueprint, which comes after the passage of a $787 billion stimulus package and costly proposals to unlock frozen credit markets and shore up the shattered housing market, demonstrates his assessment that timidity in the face of these problems is a risk not worth taking.

At the White House, his advisers have concluded that the biggest danger in the face of the challenges is doing less rather than more.

It was the same instinct for the audacious that put him into the presidential race two years ago at a time when many urged him to wait. The problems occurring now, however, will test him even beyond the trials he weathered as a candidate. Turning his large, complex and controversial proposals into legislative victories will require not just a bold vision but also leadership of a kind he has not yet been required to demonstrate.

"It's going to take extraordinary leadership, and that's a challenge for the president and those of us who work for the president," senior adviser David Axelrod said yesterday. "These are not ordinary times. They are extraordinary times, and they require extraordinary steps."

When he was elected in November, few doubted that Obama would arrive in Washington with big ambitions to tackle the enormous problems awaiting him. With every step he has taken, including his wide-ranging speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night, he has confirmed those ambitions. But it took the release of his first budget to illustrate the dramatic course change he is proposing for the country after eight years under President George W. Bush and almost three decades since Reagan ushered in an era of smaller government and conservative ideas.

What Obama's budget says is that his priority is to do as much as he can as swiftly as the economic and political climates will allow.

Obama will face increasing partisan opposition to major elements of his plan, even as he attempts to change the tone of political debate in Washington. But he may run into resistance from some Democrats as well, given the size of his ambitions.

Even if willing, can Congress move as swiftly as Obama would like? Axelrod said the goal in the White House is action this year on health care and movement as well on the energy plan. "There are certainly things in here that will trigger a fight," he said. "But as he said when he announced for president, change doesn't happen without a struggle. The easiest thing in Washington is to take the path of least resistance, to tinker at the margins. I think American people recognize we can't do that right now."

"He's really trying to reshape the landscape economically, politically and every other way," said Pete Wehner, a Bush administration official. "If he succeeds, he may be a historic president. And if he fails, he may also be a historic president."

Obama obviously thinks the country is ready for change on a grand scale. If he has misjudged this moment, he could pay a huge price. The president has proved his skeptics wrong, but, as the new budget shows, he is now reaching higher than ever before.

Good Fight of Faith

Sin has touch all of us..DIRECTLY !
It is in our very genes to do what is wrong. I could just here some people say who Not me!
lets not kid ourselves we are all sinful.
Who teaches a baby not even able to creep yet to be selfish ? The mommy ? No not at all.
It is a built in.
who teaches a toddler that this is mine, mine, mine ? No one!well most of the times no one :-)
So what is this sin disease that we have. Romans 7:19

Well to make it simple Sin is simply separation from God.
It is the moment we deny Gods presence, his wanting to be part of our life then sin blossoms like a cancer. whether we want Christ or not its up to us, he respects our choice but peruses us till we deny him. Revelation 3:20.

The outward acts are simply a manifestation of what is in the heart. A heart living apart from God, or it could be a heart that has been with Christ but one who denies Christ overcoming power at the spur of the moment . Matthew 26:34,Mark 14:72,Luke 22:61.

Eve said I got to try this fruit but i must deny what the the Lord says, I must deny him at least for the moment. She separated her self from God.After she separated herself from her husband . Adam said the i will must deny God's command his assurance.

This is what happens in the heart when we are tempted.
When we are faced with a temptation we say "you know what Lord Excuse me for this second /Minute /hour i got to get a taste of this , i got to do this, I will check you back .I know i cannot possible do this with you dominating my thoughts so i must relinquish you for a few then we will get back together again when am trough.
Isn't that what we do most of the times ? I have been there done that , thank God I got rid of the T-shirt.
So in order to fulfill the appetite/the lust /the desire/the selfish heart we must let go of Him be it for a moment or sometimes for days when we cant get the nerve to face God sooner.
If you think you cant live without sinning and you believe in the Bible then you need see these verse

God demands we live without sin:
1JOHN 2:1
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 Peter 1:14,15,16
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

John5:14
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

He empower us to live above sin:

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 1 john 2:15,16,17

Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Romans 6:22
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

How to do it
Romans 6:16-18
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith.

Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

What is Faith ?

Greek for Faith is Pistis which means a life saving relationship, its as though your life depends on Jesus . I don't know if you know but it does.
Only when we have a life depending relationship, a sought of life savor dependency. Can we live above first the thoughts of sin which leads to the habits of sin.

So we are expected to live without sin we have established that .Christ coming would change us character wise. Many assume it will change us from mortal to immortality. yes!
The characters we form now are for keepers and is only successfully form with a total day to day dependence on Jesus' power.

light and darkness can not inhabit the same physical space. The absence of light is darkness and conversely when light is introduced in presence of darkness darkness will flee.
If you stay connected to Christ day by day min by min we will have such power to overcome we would wonder "How come this sin don't pull me down no more"
That is"Good Fight of Faith"

Stay faithful we can live without sinning .

Two laws in the Bible ?

2 Timothy 4:3-4 “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I have been looking at Galatians 3:24 and the whole Galatians, in fact I am getting the impressions that the Greeks in Galatia whom the apostle Paul wrote to was obsessed about traditions, particularly the old ordinances spoken of in Galatians 3:24 & Col2:14- 17. Some how they believe that these Jewish rituals could save them .These two pieces or scripture above are mostly abused and misused by many to suggest that we are no longer under the Moral Code the 10 commandment law . Well I agree and disagree at the same time.Let me clear it up by asking the question. WHAT LAW?

Now that I have you thinking you are probably asking was there more than one law given to Moses. Lets analyze the facts from the Bible of course

law number one
Deuteronomy 31:24-26

24And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,25That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,26Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

Col 2:14-17

14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made 16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Note the Scripture above talks about hand writing, also note the law is against us.Note also the law was written in a book (scroll in those times) and was place in the side of the Ark of the covenant.

Law number two
Deuteronomy 10:1-5
1At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood. 2And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark. 3And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand. 4And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me. 5And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.

Exodus 31:18
18And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

In the two scripture immediate above notice what the law was written upon.It was written upon tables of stone. God wrote with his own fingers Exodus 31:18 (what else could write on stone ?).Notice where it was placed ,It was placed in the Ark, not in the side of the Ark which is another location.
To highlight the differences between the The law God Himself wrote as oppose to the law Moses wrote which was dictated by God to him.lets look at the table below.

Moses Law

Gods 10 commandment

Moses wrote from Gods dictation

God Wrote Himself then gave Moses

Moses wrote with hand and

God wrote with His Finger

Moses wrote in a book/scroll

God wrote on Tables of Stone

It was put in the side of Ark

It was place inside the Ark

There is no doubt that Col 2:14-17 ,Galatians 4:10, and all of chapter 3 is talking about the law of Moses the ceremonial laws not Gods 10 Commandments. If in doubt lets look further in detail what is this ceremonial law.

Leviticus 23:4-5 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons. 5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover.

This part of the ceremonial law was a shadow of Jesus crucifixion and is called “Passover or Pesach.” These and all the following verses in Leviticus chapter 23 are NOT part of God’s eternal Ten Commandment law of love. As verse four says, “these are the many feasts of the Lord” that are not a law of love and were temporary as they represented the work that Christ would do at the cross through His death and resurrection. Love however is not temporary and will never be nailed to any cross.

The type was the Passover in Egypt where the blood of the lamb was smeared on the door posts. Jesus and the disciples ate the Passover meal (Matthew 26:18-20) of unleavened bread and wine in the early hours of this day (Exodus 12:18), which would have been our Thursday evening (the biblical day begins and ends at sunset). Jesus was crucified the afternoon of the 14th (Friday) at the time the Paschal lambs were being slain (Exodus 12:6). Passover is a shadow or type of the sacrifice of Jesus which is the antitype, the lamb of God, at the cross (1 Corinthians 5:7).

Leviticus 23:6-8 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days you must eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day you shall have an holy convocation: you shall do no servile work therein. 8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: you shall do no servile work therein.

This part of the ceremonial law was a shadow of the time Jesus spent in the tomb on the seventh day Sabbath and is called the “Feast of Unleavened Bread.”

The Feast of Unleavened Bread was a type of the sinless nature of Jesus releasing us from the bondage of sin (if we have faith in His atoning death). Jesus is the sinless bread of life (John 6:32, 48-51) and leavened bread represented the corruption of sin in one’s life that Jesus overcomes (1 Corinthians 5:8). Putting away the sin in your life (leavened bread) and replacing it by accepting sinless Jesus Christ (unleavened bread) in its place is the Gospel Message symbolized in the Passover meal known today as the Lord's Supper or Communion. You participate in the Lord's Supper to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for you at the cross (Luke 22:19). This was the time of year of the latter rain (March/April). On this day Israel began to eat from the old corn and the manna ended the following day (Joshua 5:11).

Leviticus 23:9-14 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When you be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. 12 And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. 13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. 14 And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that you have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

This part of the ceremonial law was a shadow of Jesus' resurrection from the tomb and is called "First Fruits." Note the meat offering and drink offering that Paul refers to at the start of the verse in Colossians 2:16

Ceremonial law is one that contain many ordinances ,these are burdensome rituals that are in many cases a bloody and dirty affair. In these rituals it is made plain how terrible sin is,if we see these rituals as the ancient Israel did we will get the point how bad sin really is.

Of course when we read all the verses Col 2:14-17,all of Galatians now with this added knowledge of what of which law its plain to see what these verses mean. Now that we know these were ceremonial laws what conclusions can we draw.

  1. Ceremonial law pointed to Christ Gal 3: 24 schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ Col 2:17. Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ --He was the sacrifice, the lamb slain. These laws pointed forward to the perfect sacrifice who did come.
  2. It is made plain why Mathew 27:51, Mark 15:38 says :And the veil of the temple was rent in twain by (God himself) from the top to the bottom. When Christ was crucified there was no need for blood sacrifices and the priest offering up these sacrifices.
  3. Notice the laws that were against us Christ came to remove .Adam and Eve after sin were to offer sacrifices after sin came in to the world (the transgression of the law the 10 commandments).
  4. Notice that these laws were added Galatians 3:19 because of transgression, transgression of what ?another law? yes !The 10 Commandments.
  5. A School master in Greek culture in Paul's time was a slave assign the duties of going everywhere with the child of the well-to- do family. He was called a tutor. The child would take orders from the slave who took orders from the child's father. So the Ceremonial laws, took there cue from the 10 commandments. But when Christ arrived at the scene the ceremonial laws were done away with no school master was necessary.
I hope all this help if any additional info is needed let me know i would be happy to assist.

God's Word is the Truth.

For more information on the ceremonial laws see this site which adequately explains it all With Bible support of course.. http://www.ceremoniallaw.com/index.html

Roman Catholic Church version of 10 Commandment

Below is a table of the Ten Commandments as spoken and written by God using the King James Bible and the Ten Commandments according to the Roman Catholic Church. They say that their authority stands above the word of God and that they can change what they want and God will agree with them. Note they deleted the second Commandment and changed the Sabbath to Sunday and split the 10th Commandment into two to get back to Ten Commandments. If you follow them all the way down from the second Commandment you'll see the Catholic Church is always one ahead of the King James in the Decalogue. Finally at the tenth Commandment they break it into two and make it the 9th and 10th Commandments.

This truth can be found from the URL below. The Roman Catholic version is the right hand column titled “A Traditional Catechetical Formula.” The URL is http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/arch
ive/catechism/command.htm. You will need to copy and paste the address as links promote search engine ranking and I cannot promote what is not Biblical truth.

Bible Ten Commandments
King James Version
Ten Commandments
Roman Catholic Version
1st I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 1st I am the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have no strange gods before Me.
2nd Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them…(abbrev)
(There is idolatry in the Papal system so the 2nd Commandment has been deleted or sometimes absorbed into the first. All remaining Commandments are therefore shifted along one count.)
3rd Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God In vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 2nd Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.
4th Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 3rd

Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.

(The Sabbath is fourth by normal count. The day to be kept is no longer mentioned since they changed the Sabbath to Sunday.)

(Note that God had more to say about the fourth Commandment then all others and with good reason. It is very important.
)

5th Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 4th Honour thy father and thy mother.
6th Thou shalt not kill. 5th Thou shalt not kill.
7th Thou shalt not commit adultery. 6th Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8th Thou shalt not steal. 7th Thou shalt not steal.
9th Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 8th Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10th Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. 9th

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife.

(Tenth Commandment is split into two to get back to Ten Commandments.)

10th Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s goods.
