The major concern at that time was the rate of growth. All this spurn the money men in America to stand up and take note of the Japanese model which is highly built on the attitude of the workforce. take for example what BBC said not too long ago.
BBC reports :
Japan's economy grew by a better-than-expected 1.1% in the final quarter of last year, according to official figures.
This is the equivalent of an annualised increase of 4.6%. China now rivals Japan for the rank of the world's second-biggest economy, and is on course to overtake Japan. China's economy expanded by 8.7% in 2009."

How the tables can turn
Now i want to refer you some scriptures and this is a warning to all nations and all people on the earth. No one is too mighty to fall.
I refer you to Nimrod.
Bible says: Genesis 10:8 And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
Genesis 10:9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
Genes 11:3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.
6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
I refer to you Nebuchadnezzar the prideful who afterwards repented.
Daniel 4: 27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar.
29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.
30 The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?
31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying , O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.
I refer to you Belshazzar the prideful who had no chance to repent but lost his life that very night
DANIEL 5
1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.
2 Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.
3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
5 In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
6 Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.
17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honor:
19 And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.
20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:
21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.
22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is , and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.
25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.
30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
Whats the Lesson here
Any man or nation who does not recognise the Creator God as the one who gave them all and blesses them with all are in great danger.
Any man or nation who regard not the God of heaven as the creator of the universe the everlasting Father does so at there own peril. Such an individual or a nation after warnings and admonitions spurned cannot expect The Almighty God to protect them from the evil one. Any man or nation who worship other Gods whether they be images, precious stones or the creation of men, or ideologies worship another God rather than the God above all gods. These men or nations after been warn adequately are left to the great deceiver the god of this world Satan, an in his hands should expect destruction just befor Christ Comes.
Japan has been greatly blessed, As a nation did they turn to The God of heaven ? NO
The nations of this world particularly the "Glorious Land USA " as nation did it turn to God? NO.
Are we to expect Gods Special protection over these nations? No.
But a people who know their God shall be protected and covered by His hand when the Holy spirit is being removed from this earth .This is done slowly but surely after much warning about turning to God the Creator is given. Mercy is extended to who will believe. But judgements after Judgements will come on this planet.
Four angels are to loose the winds of strife ,these things that are upon the earth are signs not so much of the end of the world but that man need to turn to his Maker and redeemer.
Perfect peace and at such a tumultuous time.
Royalblood.
