The healing process of the deadly wound ,Biblical and Historical Proof

Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Even before the Reformation, students of Bible prophecy had long identified the papal power as the Antichrist, and the beast from the sea of Revelation 13. So the following verse, in conjunction with verse three above, prophesied something of great interest to the diligent student of some 200 years ago:

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

The 42 two months end with imprisonment and death:

Rev 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

This predicted a limited reign of the papacy, which would be inflicted with a deadly wound, almost to death, after a period of 42 months of rule. This 42 months of prophetic time can be shown from scripture to be an actual period of 1260 years. See my article Time, Times, and Half a Time? for a detailed explanation. After having reached its zenith in the middle ages, the papal power went into a long period of gradual decline, and the French Revolution, which began in 1789, abruptly cast off the Catholic yoke and religion in general. This caught the attention of many Bible scholars, who began to take a hard look at the prophecy and tried to determine just when this "deadly wound" to the papacy might be expected. Here is an extract from The PROPHETIC FAITH OF OUR FATHERS, by Le Roy Edwin Froom, which illustrates one example of just how closely the date of the papal wound was calculated, some two years in advance of the event:

By many voices in different lands and through various vehicles the end of the papal period was perceived as due and under way. The sudden shock of the French Revolution sent the Protestant church back to the Scriptures for the meaning. Thus in the Edinburgh Missionary Magazine for 1796 the fact was publicized that the reign of Antichrist was hastening toward its end. Note it:

"By the general consent of prophecy, the reign of Antichrist, is now hastening to an end. The aspect of providence, for some time past, has quickened our expectation of his fall. This will pave the way for the overthrow of every system by which the empire of iniquity and error has been maintained; and this again will be succeeded by the age of righteousness and truth."[20]

VIII. Bell—France Accomplishing the Fall of Antichrist

In the London Evangelical Magazine of 1796 appear two illuminating articles by GEORGE BELL, on the "Downfal of Anti-

christ," written July 24, 1795. He contends first that though man may not presumptuously inquire into God's secrets, it is our duty to seek knowledge of those things He has revealed. Then he asserts that God often overrules the actions of men to bring to pass entirely different objectives. He then comes directly to the time of the rise and fall of Antichrist, based on the internal evidence of the prophecy. First, its rise would not be until after Western Rome's division, and we are therefore "not to look for his appearance before the year 407."[21]

1. BELIEVES ANTICHRIST AROSE ABOUT 537. — Again, he would not appear until after the "subversion of the imperial government of Rome," and "this obstacle was taken out of the way in the year 476." It would appear soon thereafter, but "not instantly."[22] Bell's third point is based on the seven heads or governments, the sixth being the emperors — that form falling in 476 under Augustulus. Then the Gothic kings chose Ravenna as their seat of government, but held Italy from 476 to 553 — but "lost the government of Rome in the year 537."[23] So the papal was to follow the imperial. He concludes:

"If this be a right application of events to the prophecy, then Antichrist arose about the year 537, or at farthest about the year 555. He continues 42 months, or 1260 prophetical days, that is, 1260 years, Rev. xiii.5.; consequently we may expect his fall about the year 1797, or 1813."[24]

2. DATING THE 1260, 1290, AND 1335 PERIODS. — Turning next to the evidence from Daniel, Bell alludes to the oft-repeated 1260 years, or forty-two months, or three and a half times, during which Antichrist will "scatter the power of the holy people."[25] The 1290 years "takes its date from a time of remarkable apostasy." Of this period Bell says:

"The holy city is to be trodden under foot by the Gentiles, or Papists, who, though they are Christians in name, are Gentiles in worship and practice; worshiping angels, saints, and images, and persecuting the followers of Christ. These Gentiles take away the daily sacrifice, and set up the abomination that maketh the visible church of Christ desolate for the space of 1260 years. But this is a longer period by 30 years."[26]

Then the 1335 years extend forty-five years beyond the 1290 years and seventy-five years beyond the reign of Antichrist."

3. 1260 YEARS FROM JUSTINIAN TO REVOLUTION. — The second article concentrates on the Justinian date when, after the Ostrogothic withdrawal to Ravenna, the army of Belisarius approached Rome, which opened its gates to the Roman general in December, 537; tracing the transfer of the Roman emperor to Constantinople, and then the shift of the Goths to Ravenna, Bell says the pope is left, "as it were, the governor and principal at Rome."[28] Then, logically coming to the predicted earthquake, which "signifies a revolution," and France as the tenth part of the Babylonian City—when "One of the ten kingdoms under the dominion of Rome would fall off, or revolt from her jurisdiction"—he declares, "Have we not seen, in one of the ten kingdoms, a most astonishing revolution? Have we not also seen that kingdom fall off of the papal jurisdiction?" Bell then concludes, saying, "Have we not good ground to hope that the accomplishment of the prophecies, respecting the rising of the witnesses and the fall of antichrist, is near at hand?"[29] ...

So clear was Bible prophecy, that the fall of the papacy was anticipated by George Bell two years before it occurred, and he very nearly pinpointed the exact year based on his studies. But as impressive as that may be, he was not the first to arrive at that conclusion. Just over a century before, Drue Cressner, D.D., who became a vicar of the Church of England, wrote:

I. Papal Government Supplanted and Pontiff Banished

The immediate problem is to trace the overthrow of the Papacy in Italy in 1798. One of the most interesting accounts, as well as a very trustworthy one, of the overthrow of the papal government is by Richard Duppa,[1] in A Brief Account of the Subversion of the Papal Government, 1798.[2] Of this work Duppa says, "It was written with the strictest attention to truth; the facts were recorded by one who was witness to the events." And he adds, "After a lapse of nine years, no part has been invalidated."[3]
1. NAPOLEON'S GOAL WAS FREEING OF ROME. — In 1796 Napoleon Bonaparte, on his way to overthrow the pope, incited his soldiers with one of his fiery speeches to the effect that they still had one offense to avenge. The hour of vengeance had struck. To restore the Capitol, to awaken the people of Rome, blunted from centuries of slavery, were to be the fruits of their victories; they would mark an epoch in history. Hearing of this, Pius VI (1775-1798)—born in 1717 as Giovanni Angelico Braschi, and died in 1799—attempted to fortify his position and

neglected nothing that might prevent the great catastrophe. Meantime he sent an emissary to Napoleon at Milan and proposed an armistice, offering heavy reparations and the surrender of Ancona, Bologna, and Ferrara—the northern portion of the papal territory.[4]
The French Directory demanded that the Papacy revoke, retract, and disannul all bulls, briefs, rescripts, and decrees affecting ecclesiastical affairs in France issued since the beginning of the Revolution in 1787. This Pius VI refused, declaring he would oppose it with force, and broke off the parley. Napoleon took Imola, the Romagna, the duchy of Urbino, routed the papal army, and made new overtures to the pope.
2. TOLENTINO FOLLOWED BY KILLING OF DUPHOT. — The Directory wished Napoleon to destroy the Papacy,[5] and directed that no successor to Pius VI be elected to the papal chair. It hoped as a consequence, to deliver Europe from the papal supremacy.[6] But Bonaparte negotiated the Treaty of Tolentino, on February 19, 1797, by which the Pope was to abandon Avignon, Venaissin, Bologna, Ferrara, and Romagna (Peter's patrimony), in addition to heavy indemnities.[7] The papal treasury was unable to meet the monetary demand, and the populace of Rome was showing increasing hostility to the papal government. The pope could scarcely appear in public without being hissed.[8] Revolution was in the air. Incendiary placards were posted on the one hand, and on the other the French were exposed to increasing insults. A crisis approached.
Joseph Bonaparte was sent to Rome as French ambassador, and sought to quiet the situation. But on December 27, 1797, a riot threatened, and the papal government ordered the mutineers to disperse. Duppa records that some in the mob, "proceeded to make public harangues, and pretended to shew clearly,

by several texts of scripture, that the time was at hand to overthrow the existing government."[9] The papal troops advanced, and the revolutionists sought refuge at the French embassy. The pontifical soldiers followed and opened fire. Then the French general Duphot sought to quiet the melee, but was shot, and dispatched with papal bayonets.[10]

3. BERTHIER'S TROOPS ENTER ROME BY INVITATION. — The killing of General Duphot brought on the crisis. The ambassador left Rome in indignation. Reparations were refused, and the Directory, on January 1, 1798, ordered General Berthier,[11] then in Milan, to march upon Rome and conquer it, and to establish a Roman republic.[12]
General Berthier advanced, but stopped outside of Rome, awaiting an invitation to enter. Patriots invited him to do so. Thus the French troops entered Rome on February 10, 1798. Berthier immediately pledged by proclamation that the Catholic "cult" should remain untouched.[13]

4. PROCESSIONAL LAUNCHED TO STAY EVIL DAY. — As a last resort the church had had recourse to a vast religious processional through the streets of Rome, with venerated relics, in the hope of staving off the evil day. An elaborate proclamation was issued January 15, 1798, in the form of a printed poster[14] signed by the papal secretary. The three special relics paraded were a portrait of the Saviour supposed to have been painted by supernatural agency, a miraculous picture of the Virgin Mary and the child, and the supposed chains by which St. Peter was fettered.[15] These

were then placed on exhibition on the high altar of St. Peter's, and visited by the people of Rome and the surrounding country. Prayer, fasting, and penitence were urged, and liberal indulgences promised. But the French Army came on.[16] Priests went throughout the city preaching the end of the world and, as customary, calling on miracles to sustain their prophecies. They little dreamed that they were so near the close of their power.

5. ROMAN REPUBLIC IS RE-ESTABLISHED. — Berthier called upon the commander of St. Angelo to open the fort. He asked two days for decision, but Berthier gave only four hours. So the fort was evacuated, three thousand French troops taking possession, and taking over the city, with certain cardinals, princes, and prelates as hostages to ensure quiet. From that moment onward Pius VI confined himself to the Vatican. Heavy reparations were exacted for the assassination of General Duphot. Then a petition, drawn up and signed by the French partisans in Rome, demanding a change of government and regime of liberty, was followed by an imposing public demonstration. The Tree of Liberty was planted on the capitol hill,[17] and the new government was established on Pluviose 27 (February 15), when the sovereignty of the people was proclaimed and the re-establishment of the Roman Republic was effected.[18]

6. PAPAL ARMS AND INSIGNIA REMOVED. — Berthier came to the capitol escorted by a military band, received the acclaim of the great concourse, and gave formal recognition to the Roman Republic and its provisional government.[19] He then ordered the papal arms and insignia everywhere removed. Thus the change was effected without bloodshed. Later when the Sacred Congregation of Propaganda was suppressed, their College at

Rome was closed and the building used as a warehouse for confiscated property, and their printing presses and type were sent to France.[20] Vatican Palace was stripped of its valuables, and the sacerdotal vestments of the pontifical chapels were burned for the gold and silver of the embroidery.[21]

7. PIUS VI DETHRONED ON ANNIVERSARY IN SISTINE CHAPEL. — Meantime, on this very same day — February 15 — on the anniversary of his elevation to the pontificate, Pius VI repaired to the Sistine Chapel, and was receiving the felicitations of the Sacred College of cardinals, when, in the midst of the ceremony, shouts penetrated the conclave, intermingled with the strokes of axes on the doors. Soon General Haller, a Swiss Calvinist, with a band of his soldiers, broke into the chapel, and declared that the pope's reign was at an end.[22] (Painting appears on page 754.) His Swiss guards were dismissed, and republican soldiers substituted. Ferrara, Bologna, and Romagna (Peter's patrimony) were taken over, and the cardinals were stripped of authority and possessions. Eight were arrested and sent to the Civita Castellana.[23] The glory, honor, and power had vanished. Soldiers were quartered in the papal palace. Such was the stroke of the sword at Rome. It was the end of an epoch in papal history long before predicted in the prophecies of Holy Writ. Trevor goes so far as to say:
"The territorial possessions of the clergy and monks were declared national property, and their former owners cast into prison. The papacy was extinct: not a vestige of its existence remained; and among all the Roman Catholic powers not a finger was stirred in its defence. The Eternal City had no longer prince or pontiff; its bishop was a dying captive in foreign lands; and the decree was already announced that no successor would be allowed in his place."[24]

8. TREASURES DEMANDED AND BANISHMENT DECREED.—The pope's banishment from Rome was then decreed, and Haller was again chosen to inform him. Appearing on the afternoon of

February 18, he demanded the pope's treasures. When the pope protested that the Tolentino Treaty had left him nothing, Haller demanded and took the two rings on his fingers, including the Fisherman's ring — though only by threat. (This was returned the following day.) Haller told the prelate to be ready to leave the next morning at six. He protested his age—of eighty-one—and illness, Haller nevertheless insisted, and threatened force. Given forty-eight hours to settle the affairs of the church, he was to leave before daybreak.[25] (Painting of departure appears on page 754.)
It was still night, February 20, 1798, and stormy with lightning and thunder, when the carriage crossed the city, preceded by two men with torches — the guards pointing out the dome of St. Peter's. Both hisses and prayers came from the crowd that had assembled. Within ten days Pius VI had been dethroned. imprisoned, exiled, his private library confiscated, his state given up to plunder, and his subjects to military control. Reaching Sienna, Pius and his party stopped at an Augustinian convent. But while they were there, an earthquake destroyed several buildings. The Pontiff was therefore housed outside the city in a country home called Hell, a fact that elicited the sarcasm of the unbelieving.[26]

9. DIES AT VALENCE, FRANCE, IN 1799. — But the pope was still in the heart of Italy. So Pius VI was transferred to Florence, constantly under guard of French dragoons. Next his transfer to Parma was decided upon, the departure to take place at 2 A.M. As the pope was suffering from partial paralysis, his guards had great difficulty in effecting the transfer. From here he was taken to Turin, and finally to the French fortress at Valence, in Dauphiny,[27] arriving there July 14, 1799, broken with fatigue and sorrow. He died there on the 28th.[28]

II. Official Handbills Reveal Facts of Overthrow

About fifty official handbills and circulars, many in paralleling French and Italian columns, were printed and posted in Rome during the papal overthrow and the establishment of the republic under Berthier in 1798. These constitute about the highest source evidence obtainable, and are not commonly accessible. They are therefore summarized here, the more important being quoted from.[29] Nos.1 and 2 assure respect for public worship and its ministers and for ambassadors, and warn French officers of violation.[30] No. 5, dated Year 1, Pluviose 27 (Feb. 15, 1798), announces that Berthier has appointed civil authorities in the six territories of the republic. No. 7 gives a pompous speech of Berthier in which he says that at the capitol, bearing an olive branch, free Frenchmen have re-established the altars of liberty, erected by the first Brutus.[31]

1. PAPAL GOVERNMENT SUPPRESSED, REVERTING TO PEOPLE. — The famous Bill No. 8, in parallel French and Italian, dated Pluviose 27 (February 15), is a formal declaration by "Citizen Alexander Berthier, General in Chief." In this he makes the announcement:

"The Roman people are now again entered into the rights of sovereignty, declaring their independence, possessing the government of ancient Rome, constituting a Roman Republic.
"The General-in-chief of the French army in Italy declares, in the name of the French Republic, that he acknowledges the Roman Republic independent, and that the same is under the special protection of the French army.
"The General-in-chief of the army acknowledges, in the name of the French Republic, the provisional government which has been proposed by the sovereign people.
"In consequence, every other temporal authority emanating from the old government of the Pope, is suppressed, and it shall no more exercise any function....
"The Roman Republic, acknowledged by the French Republic, comprehends all the country that remained under the temporal authority of the Pope, after the treaty of Campo-Formio.

"ALEXANDRE BERTHIER."

Question : So how will the Vatican get the world to bow to a Sunday sabbath ?

Answer: Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

How does it deceive . America has the greatest and most efficient media/propaganda machinery.CNN,Time,FOX, MSNBC ,All Murdock's They can get us to think what ever they want that is those who are not in their Bibles. For the Bible shows us the TRUTH long before hand.

God foresaw that every orginasation in the world would be infiltrated by the engineering of Rome.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said Tuesday that the U.S. economy is stabilizing and will begin to rebound later this year, but the recovery will be slow and cautious.

At a hearing of the Joint Economic Committee of Congress, Bernanke said consumer sentiment, the housing market and spending have begun to show signs of life.

But he expects the economy will continue to shed jobs and credit will remain tight for some time. He said the recent frugality trend will continue due to deflated household wealth, and business spending will be slow to bounce back as well.

"We continue to expect economic activity to bottom out, then to turn up later this year," said Bernanke in prepared testimony. "Even after a recovery gets under way ... we expect that the recovery will only gradually gain momentum and that economic slack will diminish slowly."

Bernanke said the recent gross domestic product report, which showed the economy contracted by 6.1% in the first quarter, was disappointing. But he said the economic contraction will "moderate considerably in the near term and recover later this year," as businesses look to replace their liquidated inventories.

Today, Was one of those days that my spiritual ammunition though high I felt a bit low keyed.
I recognise that sharing the saving grace of Christ with others takes energy .It takes from you it is necessary to refill.
While i make efforts to point others to the TRUTH I must be careful that i don't find my self an outcast.I have to be careful that i don't drown in shallow water(beset by some stupid subtle sin).
An inspired pen says "we need to daily to gaze on the scenes just before during and after Calvary.We must Gaze on Jesus daily .
I have been under the attack by the enemy .A job experience if you please, where many thing are going wrong ..
We are no match for the devil. But the weakest soul on bended knees is more powerful than Satan and his legion forces.
Many time we are under attack, we pull out our own self invented solutions and when they fail then we call in The Big guns ( Jesus).

Self sufficiency is one of the biggest obstacles to spiritual growth.
Don't mind what all the smooth talking media preachers say out there about spirituality is a direct link to success. Far from it. Satan does not pay attention to those who he has in his grasp,but those who are totally dependent on God, he wants you. Am not saying rich and wealthy people don't turn to God,neither am i saying poor people are guaranteed a place in Heaven, far from it.
Its just that when you have all the resources the world can offer its difficult to ask God for anything, lest more for His help. Ask the rich young Ruler.

Luke 18 :22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

So if you are under constant attack,and things not going fine for a along time,but you are clinging on to God , you on are on the right track.

I think the major reason that the adversary Satan seeks to discourage and attack me and this may apply to you; is when we are on the verge of a major spiritual discovery,when we a close to that "aha" in our spiritual experience,when we could be used in a pivotal moment or simply when we are drawing others to Christ satan turns on the heat.

The truth is I don't know for sure how much people are blessed.

The points of identification examined in this lesson (from Daniel 7 and Revelation 13) make it clear that this little horn power would arise in during the fall of the Roman Empire and during the time that the 10 barbarian tribes ruled much of western Europe.

It would mix paganism with true worship of God.

It would command people to worship it (thereby making it a religious power).

It would persecute those who disagreed with it.

It would blaspheme the God of heaven.

It would reign for 1260 years.

It would receive a deadly wound, recover from it, and have “all” the world worship it once again.

Its boldest claim would be that it had changed the times and the law.

We can take these marks of identification, go to any encyclopedia or history book, examine the history of the Dark Ages when the Bible said this power would arise, and we would discover that there is only one power that meets every one of these identifying marks. That power is the Papacy. Please remember that we are not talking about individuals. We are talking about a system that is in opposition to God. There are many good, sincere people in the Catholic religion who love and serve Jesus. God loves them, and in mercy He has sent them this warning so that they might not be deceived by this power.

Let’s re-examine the identifying marks of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 and see how clearly the Papacy has met every one of these marks of identification.

DANIEL’S MARKS OF IDENTIFICATION

It arose among the ten nations

As the Roman Empire fell and the world was taken over by the barbarian tribes, another power began that became a unifying power. That power was the Papacy. No other such power arose among the ten tribes after the fall of the Roman Empire.

Three horns were removed

In 533, Roman Emperor Justinian declared that the Bishop of Rome was the head of all the Christian churches. However, Rome was in the hands of Ostrogoth Theodoric the Great. Although Theodoric treated Catholics well, he was Arian in belief (a Christian heresy). Justinian set out to rescue Rome from Arian hands and place a pope of his choosing there (the other popes had been elected by the Arians). In 534 he sent Belisarius to capture Rome. Under new king Witigis, the Arian Goths allowed Belisarius to simply walk into Rome. While there, he deposed pope Silverius and placed Vigilius (chosen by Justinian) in his place in 538.

By 540 the Ostrogoths had surrendered to Belisarius, but he was recalled by Justinian. In his absence they began rebelling again under a new leader named Totila. In 546 and 549 Totila captured Rome and eventually all of Italy. However, he was eventually defeated and by 562, Ostrogoths were heard of no more in Italy. Thus was the end of the third horn that was uprooted to make way for the little horn. The other two (the Heruli and Vandals) had already been defeated.

Eyes like the eyes of a man

At the head of the Papacy sits a man, making the decisions that affect the lives and souls of thousands of people

It had a mouth which boasted against the Most High

Consider these three points:

In the book of Daniel we have learned that God does not want us to mix together paganism and Christianity. But, as pagans came flooding into the church after Constantine supported Christianity, the church changed the doctrines for early Christianity. To make it easier for the pagans to adjust to Christianity, pagan practices were incorporated into the Christian faith. For example, the pagans were use to worshipping gods and goddesses, whereas Christians worshipped only one God. Therefore, the church introduced the practice of praying to the saints. This took the place of the household gods of paganism. In addition, Christianity had no female deity, so the Papacy elevated Mary to take the place of Jesus as the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). There were many other pagan practices that Rome Christianized during this period.

“We are told in various ways by Eusebius, that Constantine, in order to recommend the new religion to the heathen, transferred into it the outward ornaments to which they had been accustomed in their own. It is not necessary to go into a subject which the diligence of Protestant writers has made familiar to most of us. The use of temples, and these dedicated to particular saints, and ornamented on occasions with branches of trees, incense, lamps, and candles; votive offerings on recovery from illness, holy water; asylums; holidays and seasons, use of calendars, processions, blessings on the fields; sacerdotal vestments, the tonsure, the ring in marriage, turning to the East, images at a later date, perhaps, the ecclesiastical chant, and the Kyrie Eleisen, are all of pagan origin, and sanctified by their adoption into the Church.”

Who can forgive sins but God alone? (Mark 2:7) Yet the Papacy claims to be able to forgive men of their sins:

“And God himself is obliged to abide by the judgment of his priest and either not to pardon or to pardon, according as they refuse to give absolution, provided the penitent is capable of it.” “Duties and Dignities of the Priest” by Liguori P. 27.

“Were the Redeemer to descend into a church, and sit in a confessional to administer the sacrament of penance, and a priest to sit in a confessional, Jesus would say over each penitent: ‘Ego te Absolovo’, the priest would likewise say over each of his penitents, ‘Ego te absolvo’, and the penitents of each would be equally absolved.” Ibid., P. 34

“The priest holds the place of the Saviour himself, when, by saying ‘Ego te absolvo’, he absolves from sin.” Ibid.

The Jews tried to stone Jesus because he claimed perogatives of God. (John 10:33). Consider the following claims by the Catholic Church:

“Hence priests are called the parents of Jesus Christ: such is the title that St. Bernard gives them, for they are the active cause by which he is made to exist really in the consecrated Host.” Ibid., p. 32

“Thus the Priest may, in a certain manner be called the creator of his Creator, since by saying the words of consecration, he creates as it were, Jesus in the sacrament.” Ibid.

“All names which in the Scripture are applied to Christ, by virtue of which it is established that he is over the church, all the same names are applied to the Pope.” “On the Authority of Councils,” 1619 ed., book 2, ch. 17.

When you examine the Roman Catholic quotations cited above, there can be no question that the papacy has boasted against the Most High and has combined paganism with Christianity.

The results of the Inquisition and many other persecutions of various religious groups are well know facts. To the Catholic church they were heretics, to others they were saints — true believers of the Bible and it’s teachings.

To reign for 1260 years

When do we date the beginning of the rise of the little horn to power?

After Belisarius placed Vigilius in Rome in 538 (The first pope chosen by Justinian after he had declared the Bishop of Rome the head of the church) Vigilius was called to Constantinopal to settle a dispute. It was while Vigilius was away that Totila captured Rome and later that the Ostrogoths were defeated. In 556, Pelegius (elected by Justinian to replace Vigilius’ who had died on his way back to Rome) returned to Rome. The Bishop of Rome, the declared head of the Church, while not in Rome during the complete demise of the Ostrogoths, remained the only Bishop of Rome. So, the dating of the start of the Bishop of Rome as the head of all the Christian church begins with Vigilius in 538.

Later, during the reign of Gregory the First (590-604), were laid the foundations for the Papal States and temporal Papal authority.

The rise of the little horn was slow. It started small but grew in power. The three Arian tribes were uprooted. Among them and in thier place the little horn began to gain power.

Exactly 1260 years later, in 1798, Berthier, French general under Napoleon, invaded the Vatican and took the pope prisoner.

An assortment of popes had been taken prisoner and killed through out the history of the Roman church. However, it is significant that it was the French, who in 1798 rejected God and embraced atheism, that dethroned the pope, because 1290 years (Daniel 12:11) before, in 508 AD, the Franks under Clovis became the first of the tribes to embrace the teachings of Rome and reject Arianism.

IDENTIFICATION MARKS

FROM REVELATION

It received its power, seat and great authority from the Dragon

The dragon primarily represent Satan (Revelation 12:9). However, the devil works through various agencies, in this case, Pagan Rome. When the Roman emperors moved the capital of the failing Roman Empire from Rome to Constantinople, they left the pope as the power in Rome. The power of the Caesars supported the bishop of Rome by elevating him above all the other bishops in Christianity. Truly Pagan Rome gave the Papacy his power, seat, and authority. The Papacy is a continuance of the first phase of the Iron legs kingdom.

It received a deadly wound

When Berthier, the French general, took the Pope prisoner in 1798, he inflicted the deadly wound. Many thought the Papacy had come to its end and could never recover. Indeed it had received a deadly wound.

The deadly wound was healed

In 1929 Mussolini restored the Vatican to the Pope, making him again a secular as well as a religious ruler. Today the Vatican is recognized by many governments on earth. Even the United States of America sends an ambassador to the Vatican, recognizing the Vatican State as a secular as well as a religious state. The United States does not recognize any other religious organization in this way. It is against the Constitution to do so. As one observes the developing Papacy today, one sees indeed the whole world wondering after this power.

People worshipped this power

One only has to watch the acts of obeisance that people pay to the head of the papacy to know that this power is an object of reverence and worship. During his 1260 year reign, few earthly governments dared defy this power. He held the keys to life and death for thousands of individuals.

It spoke great words against the Most High

It was to reign for 42 months (42 months = 1260 days)

It made war with the saints

All the world worships it today

It has a number that adds up to 666

Notice that Revelation 13-18 does not say the number 666 is written out. Rather it says that to discover the number of the beast, one must calculate the number of the beast, or add it up. An ancient Hebrew custom was to add up the numerical values for the letters in people’s names. That would then be the person’s number. The Bible says the beast has a number, and the numbers add up to 666. One of the titles take by all bishops of the Roman Church in Latin is Vicarius Filii Dei, meaning “Vicar of the Son of God.” Please notice below that the Roman numeral value of the letters of this name add up to the Biblical 666:

The Final Warning

"I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird." "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Revelation 18:1, 2, 4.

This scripture points forward to a time when the announcement of the fall of Babylon, as made by the second angel of Revelation 14 (verse 8), is to be repeated, with the additional mention of the corruptions which have been entering the various organizations that constitute Babylon, since that message was first given, in the summer of 1844. A terrible condition of the religious world is here described. With every rejection of truth the minds of the people will become darker, their hearts more stubborn, until they are entrenched in an infidel hardihood. In defiance of the warnings which God has given, they will continue to trample upon one of the precepts of the Decalogue, until they are led to persecute those who hold it sacred. Christ is set at nought in the contempt placed upon His word and His people. As the teachings of spiritualism are accepted by the churches, the restraint imposed upon the carnal heart is removed, and the profession of religion will become a cloak to conceal the basest iniquity. A belief in spiritual manifestations opens the door to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, and thus the influence of evil angels will be felt in the churches.

Of Babylon, at the time brought to view in this prophecy, it is declared: "Her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." Revelation 18:5. She has filled up the measure of her guilt, and destruction is about to fall upon her. But God still has a people in Babylon; and before the visitation of His judgments these faithful ones must be called out, that they partake not of her sins and "receive not of her plagues." Hence the movement symbolized by the angel coming down from heaven, lightening the earth with his glory and crying mightily with a strong voice, announcing the sins of Babylon. In connection with his message the call is heard: "Come out of her, My people." These announcements, uniting with the third angel's message, constitute the final warning to be given to the inhabitants of the earth.

Fearful is the issue to which the world is to be brought. The powers of earth, uniting to war against the commandments of God, will decree that "all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond" (Revelation 13:16), shall conform to the customs of the church by the observance of the false sabbath. All who refuse compliance will be visited with civil penalties, and it will finally be declared that they are deserving of death. On the other hand, the law of God enjoining the Creator's rest day demands obedience and threatens wrath against all who transgress its precepts.

With the issue thus clearly brought before him, whoever shall trample upon God's law to obey a human enactment receives the mark of the beast; he accepts the sign of allegiance to the power which he chooses to obey instead of God. The warning from heaven is: "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation." Revelation 14:9, 10.

But not one is made to suffer the wrath of God until the truth has been brought home to his mind and conscience, and has been rejected. There are many who have never had an opportunity to hear the special truths for this time. The obligation of the fourth commandment has never been set before them in its true light. He who reads every heart and tries every motive will leave none who desire a knowledge of the truth, to be deceived as to the issues of the controversy. The decree is not to be urged upon the people blindly. Everyone is to have sufficient light to make his decision intelligently.

The Sabbath will be the great test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted. When the final test shall be brought to bear upon men, then the line of distinction will be drawn between those who serve God and those who serve Him not. While the observance of the false sabbath in compliance with the law of the state, contrary to the fourth commandment, will be an avowal of allegiance to a power that is in opposition to God, the keeping of the true Sabbath, in obedience to God's law, is an evidence of loyalty to the Creator. While one class, by accepting the sign of submission to earthly powers, receive the mark of the beast, the other choosing the token of allegiance to divine authority, receive the seal of God.

Heretofore those who presented the truths of the third angel's message have often been regarded as mere alarmists. Their predictions that religious intolerance would gain control in the United States, that church and state would unite to persecute those who keep the commandments of God, have been pronounced groundless and absurd. It has been confidently declared that this land could never become other than what it has been--the defender of religious freedom. But as the question of enforcing Sunday observance is widely agitated, the event so long doubted and disbelieved is seen to be approaching, and the third message will produce an effect which it could not have had before.

In every generation God has sent His servants to rebuke sin, both in the world and in the church. But the people desire smooth things spoken to them, and the pure, unvarnished truth is not acceptable. Many reformers, in entering upon their work, determined to exercise great prudence in attacking the sins of the church and the nation. They hoped, by the example of a pure Christian life, to lead the people back to the doctrines of the Bible. But the Spirit of God came upon them as it came upon Elijah, moving him to rebuke the sins of a wicked king and an apostate people; they could not refrain from preaching the plain utterances of the Bible-- doctrines which they had been reluctant to present. They were impelled to zealously declare the truth and the danger which threatened souls. The words which the Lord gave them they uttered, fearless of consequences, and the people were compelled to hear the warning.

Thus the message of the third angel will be proclaimed. As the time comes for it to be given with greatest power, the Lord will work through humble instruments, leading the minds of those who consecrate themselves to His service. The laborers will be qualified rather by the unction of His Spirit than by the training of literary institutions. Men of faith and prayer will be constrained to go forth with holy zeal, declaring the words which God gives them. The sins of Babylon will be laid open. The fearful results of enforcing the observances of the church by civil authority, the inroads of spiritualism, the stealthy but rapid progress of the papal power--all will be unmasked. By these solemn warnings the people will be stirred. Thousands upon thousands will listen who have never heard words like these. In amazement they hear the testimony that Babylon is the church, fallen because of her errors and sins, because of her rejection of the truth sent to her from heaven. As the people go to their former teachers with the eager inquiry, Are these things so? the ministers present fables, prophesy smooth things, to soothe their fears and quiet the awakened conscience. But since many refuse to be satisfied with the mere authority of men and demand a plain "Thus saith the Lord," the popular ministry, like the Pharisees of old, filled with anger as their authority is questioned, will denounce the message as of Satan and stir up the sin-loving multitudes to revile and persecute those who proclaim it.

As the controversy extends into new fields and the minds of the people are called to God's downtrodden law, Satan is astir. The power attending the message will only madden those who oppose it. The clergy will put forth almost superhuman efforts to shut away the light lest it should shine upon their flocks. By every means at their command they will endeavor to suppress the discussion of these vital questions. The church appeals to the strong arm of civil power, and, in this work, papists and Protestants unite. As the movement for Sunday enforcement becomes more bold and decided, the law will be invoked against commandment keepers. They will be threatened with fines and imprisonment, and some will be offered positions of influence, and other rewards and advantages, as inducements to renounce their faith. But their steadfast answer is: "Show us from the word of God our error"--the same plea that was made by Luther under similar circumstances. Those who are arraigned before the courts make a strong vindication of the truth, and some who hear them are led to take their stand to keep all the commandments of God. Thus light will be brought before thousands who otherwise would know nothing of these truths.

Conscientious obedience to the word of God will be treated as rebellion. Blinded by Satan, the parent will exercise harshness and severity toward the believing child; the master or mistress will oppress the commandment-keeping servant. Affection will be alienated; children will be disinherited and driven from home. The words of Paul will be literally fulfilled: "All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." 2 Timothy 3:12. As the defenders of truth refuse to honor the Sunday-sabbath, some of them will be thrust into prison, some will be exiled, some will be treated as slaves. To human wisdom all this now seems impossible; but as the restraining Spirit of God shall be withdrawn from men, and they shall be under the control of Satan, who hates the divine precepts, there will be strange developments. The heart can be very cruel when God's fear and love are removed.

As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side. Men of talent and pleasing address, who once rejoiced in the truth, employ their powers to deceive and mislead souls. They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren. When Sabbathkeepers are brought before the courts to answer for their faith, these apostates are the most efficient agents of Satan to misrepresent and accuse them, and by false reports and insinuations to stir up the rulers against them.

In this time of persecution the faith of the Lord's servants will be tried. They have faithfully given the warning, looking to God and to His word alone. God's Spirit, moving upon their hearts, has constrained them to speak. Stimulated with holy zeal, and with the divine impulse strong upon them, they entered upon the performance of their duties without coldly calculating the consequences of speaking to the people the word which the Lord had given them. They have not consulted their temporal interests, nor sought to preserve their reputation or their lives. Yet when the storm of opposition and reproach bursts upon them, some, overwhelmed with consternation, will be ready to exclaim: "Had we foreseen the consequences of our words, we would have held our peace." They are hedged in with difficulties. Satan assails them with fierce temptations. The work which they have undertaken seems far beyond their ability to accomplish. They are threatened with destruction. The enthusiasm which animated them is gone; yet they cannot turn back. Then, feeling their utter helplessness, they flee to the Mighty One for strength. They remember that the words which they have spoken were not theirs, but His who bade them give the warning. God put the truth into their hearts, and they could not forbear to proclaim it.

The same trials have been experienced by men of God in ages past. Wycliffe, Huss, Luther, Tyndale, Baxter, Wesley, urged that all doctrines be brought to the test of the Bible and declared that they would renounce everything which it condemned. Against these men persecution raged with relentless fury; yet they ceased not to declare the truth. Different periods in the history of the church have each been marked by the development of some special truth, adapted to the necessities of God's people at that time. Every new truth has made its way against hatred and opposition; those who were blessed with its light were tempted and tried. The Lord gives a special truth for the people in an emergency. Who dare refuse to publish it? He commands His servants to present the last invitation of mercy to the world. They cannot remain silent, except at the peril of their souls. Christ's ambassadors have nothing to do with consequences. They must perform their duty and leave results with God.

As the opposition rises to a fiercer height, the servants of God are again perplexed; for it seems to them that they have brought the crisis. But conscience and the word of God assure them that their course is right; and although the trials continue, they are strengthened to bear them. The contest grows closer and sharper, but their faith and courage rise with the emergency. Their testimony is: "We dare not tamper with God's word, dividing His holy law; calling one portion essential and another nonessential, to gain the favor of the world. The Lord whom we serve is able to deliver us. Christ has conquered the powers of earth; and shall we be afraid of a world already conquered?"

Persecution in its varied forms is the development of a principle which will exist as long as Satan exists and Christianity has vital power. No man can serve God without enlisting against himself the opposition of the hosts of darkness. Evil angels will assail him, alarmed that his influence is taking the prey from their hands. Evil men, rebuked by his example, will unite with them in seeking to separate him from God by alluring temptations. When these do not succeed, then a compelling power is employed to force the conscience.

But so long as Jesus remains man's intercessor in the sanctuary above, the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit is felt by rulers and people. It still controls to some extent the laws of the land. Were it not for these laws, the condition of the world would be much worse than it now is. While many of our rulers are active agents of Satan, God also has His agents among the leading men of the nation. The enemy moves upon his servants to propose measures that would greatly impede the work of God; but statesmen who fear the Lord are influenced by holy angels to oppose such propositions with unanswerable arguments. Thus a few men will hold in check a powerful current of evil. The opposition of the enemies of truth will be restrained that the third angel's message may do its work. When the final warning shall be given, it will arrest the attention of these leading men through whom the Lord is now working, and some of them will accept it, and will stand with the people of God through the time of trouble.

The angel who unites in the proclamation of the third angel's message is to lighten the whole earth with his glory. A work of world-wide extent and unwonted power is here foretold. The advent movement of 1840-44 was a glorious manifestation of the power of God; the first angel's message was carried to every missionary station in the world, and in some countries there was the greatest religious interest which has been witnessed in any land since the Reformation of the sixteenth century; but these are to be exceeded by the mighty movement under the last warning of the third angel.

The work will be similar to that of the Day of Pentecost. As the "former rain" was given, in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the opening of the gospel, to cause the upspringing of the precious seed, so the "latter rain" will be given at its close for the ripening of the harvest. "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." Hosea 6:3. "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain." Joel 2:23. "In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh." "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Acts 2:17, 21.

The great work of the gospel is not to close with less manifestation of the power of God than marked its opening. The prophecies which were fulfilled in the outpouring of the former rain at the opening of the gospel are again to be fulfilled in the latter rain at its close. Here are "the times of refreshing" to which the apostle Peter looked forward when he said: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and He shall send Jesus." Acts 3:19, 20.

Servants of God, with their faces lighted up and shining with holy consecration, will hasten from place to place to proclaim the message from heaven. By thousands of voices, all over the earth, the warning will be given. Miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, and signs and wonders will follow the believers. Satan also works, with lying wonders, even bringing down fire from heaven in the sight of men. Revelation 13:13. Thus the inhabitants of the earth will be brought to take their stand.

The message will be carried not so much by argument as by the deep conviction of the Spirit of God. The arguments have been presented. The seed has been sown, and now it will spring up and bear fruit. The publications distributed by missionary workers have exerted their influence, yet many whose minds were impressed have been prevented from fully comprehending the truth or from yielding obedience. Now the rays of light penetrate everywhere, the truth is seen in its clearness, and the honest children of God sever the bands which have held them. Family connections, church relations, are powerless to stay them now. Truth is more precious than all besides. Notwithstanding the agencies combined against the truth, a large number take their stand upon the Lord's side.

Are not many "churches holding on to Christ's name,but teaching according to their own intelligence avoiding what the Bible says .These same churches feel good in their own righteousness,works.
Many are going there to feel good ,having a form of Godliness but denying the power there of as the Bible says in 2 Tim 3:5 .

1. God has always had a church,a pure bride . Revelation 12:17 defined by commandments (all of them)and testimony of Jesus Christ. History testifies that God always had a pure representative on earth His True bride.See Noah ,Enoch,Elijah,Job,Waldensian and others leading up to our time .

2. The women mention in Isaiah 4:1 does not includes God's true Church. It includes churches that are so called Christians but those who refuse to take and live by the unadulterated Word of God(Matthew 7:22,23) due to the fact that they wear there own apparel and eat there own bread ( they do not where the apparel of Christ's righteousness) and they want there own doctrine. Not what Christ taught and lived but rather the traditions of men .

God's Word is the Truth.

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Soon the four winds of heaven will be loosed, and in every part of the globe there will be dissension, strife, war, bloodshed. Satan is stirred with intensity from beneath. The power of God will be the defense of His people until their warning message will have been proclaimed to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.

Winds are a symbol of strife. The four winds of heaven striving upon the great sea, represent the terrible scenes of conquest and revolution by which kingdoms have attained to power.

The intentions of this blog was always to tell the truth, The truth in the Bible, the historical truth, the prophetic truth. God's Word is the truth and prophecy is no different, He is the Alpha and the Omega. I have always strive to share with you what is to come based on what the Bible says.
Sometimes you can see it coming without even turning a page in your Bibles. The atmosphere, the environment is tainted with something that is explosive, I know you feel it, defining it is difficult but we know that it is there. Daniel 12:1, Matthew 24:21, Isaiah saw it too Isaiah 19:2,3,4,5,6.

Anger is building up in the people, its evident in the news . Truths revealed are bringing catastrophic events by stirred emotions , people will be agitated into vengeance, those in Cities are most in danger. You don't have to be a prophet to see this, you don't even have to be religious.
But if you are not distracted by the pleasures of the world you will see the storms coming.
Wake up the storms are coming, the atmosphere is changing; can you not see it, can you not taste it can you not feel the coldness setting in?

Revelation 7:1 The winds of strife are about to be loose. Turn to God. The people will speak but not with words but with violence ( a time of trouble such as never was since there was nation on this earth). If you think the Civil war was blood, that was a cake walk compare to what is to come. It would be sudden, it would be World Wide, it will brutal. This warning has been given in the scriptures mentioned above. Why would God seek to warn us - Three (3) Times. Today is the day of salvation. Get out of the cities and live in nature close to God. When the Spirit of God is removed from men we will become like brute beast (without affection). I say these things with all sincerity and conviction. Its time to make a move. If you can't move, prepare to move.

Time for long standing Christians to graduate from Milk

Tough times are ahead, soft smooth sermons will not cut it. Congregations need the solid word. People need to turn the leaves of their Bibles. Bibles that have remained new in the hands of members for years need to age by usage in a week. Leaves must be ragged, notes must be taken alongside verses. Texts must be memorize and call upon to aid the weary stressed out souls. Sermon listeners must become Bible pager turners. Line upon line ,line upon line, precept upon precept ,Here a little there a little, foundations of faith must be built. Who would be able to stand when the trouble decisive times come ? Surface readers will be deceived and will fall away like the chaff in the wind . Get into the deep Word of God.

1 Corinthians 3:1,2

1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. (The carnal mind must start at the milk, like babes . how long have you been in the church how long have you been a Christian and still fighting up with simple lessons like faith, grace etc mature Christians should have experiential knowledge of these things and move on to harder Biblical stuff )

2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. (Some cant bear all Bible Truth it would require them to reorder their lives.some are not willing to make such a drastic changes)

Isaiah 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. (those that are weaned from milk are ready or accept the hard truth in doctrine and prophecy)

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (those who know the truth who have been in the word who should be teachers have not matured or stayed steady in the word and must be thought as babies again.How long must we be taught faith, grace ,righteousness, must we still be fighting with overcoming sin? We should have an experiential knowledge by now.)

1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: ( The only reason we have to lay aside all these evils mentioned above malice, guile(bitterness),envies its because the simplicity of the gospel has not taken effect on harden hearts.that is why the sincere milk the baby milk must be given again, again ,again and gain.)

All people of faith, growth is essential, lets move on to the perfecting (John 17:17, Matthew 5:48,James 1:4) that Christ requires.
Be ye perfect as your father in Heaven is also perfect.

The one-hour labourers (The Truth is taking root in hearts) Christians and none Christians alike are finding the

Hebrews 11:6 I give God praise that Christians and none Christians a like are coming to a full understanding of Bible truth. Some people are now seeing behind the dangerous cocktail of the Christianity and the traditions of men. Bible Truth, What God says in his word is finding its way in hearts all over the globe.The amazing thing is this.These people are relying on the word of God,they are not dependent on preachers,pastors,leaders, some may here sprinkling of truths here and there but the bulk of their convictions are from turning the leaves of the Bibles they had sitting on shelves and boxes.
Bibles that have remained new and have one or two highlighter marks have now marked,highlighted,notes here and there as though it has been use for decades.
The Truth Bible Truth will set many free,people are hungry for the truth something beyond feel good celebratory religion.What the pastor say is not enough "I want to challenge it", i want to see it for my self .. "I want to see what God says for myself".

There are diligent students of the word of prophecy in all parts of the world, who are obtaining light and still greater light from searching the Scriptures. This is true of all nations, of all tribes, and all peoples.
