Mini crisises, when added up will lead to a major crisis.  Global climate problems, water depletion, crime, diseases, all add up to big problems for the future.  Added to all this, the consequences of "peak oil" will be felt globally, no one excluded.  Every single human being on the planet will be affected directly.

A World Addicted to Oil
Everything now rely on oil: food production, food transportation, heating, cooling, lighting.
If one must travel to the grocery you must use oil or its energy producing downstream products like fuel.

Population Growth.

Truth is, all of the world's population can fit in an area less than the size of Florida.
But physical space is not the problem.  Its how much the world resources can sustain that population. How much food? How much water?  How much electricity? How much oil? These are the questions that are before many groups, even those who do not include Christ soon return in their calculations. Hidden agendas are being formed unknowing to us .Your future is being decided but its kept a secret.
Such groups as the Bilderergers,G7,G8,G20 & other G's.

No one can solve the world's problems

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

But For God's Commandment keeping people who follow Christ totally, not partially, not having a form of Godliness as mentioned in 2 Timothy 3:5,  the pen of inspiration wrote in 1922.
"I saw that God had children who do not see and keep the Sabbath. They have not rejected the light upon it. And at the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully. This enraged the churches and nominal Adventists, as they could not refute the Sabbath truth. And at this time God's chosen all saw clearly that we had the truth, and they came out and endured the persecution with us. I saw the sword, famine, pestilence, and great confusion in the land. The wicked thought that we had brought the judgments upon them, and they rose up and took counsel to rid the earth of us, thinking that then the evil would be stayed. {CET 93.2}
In the time of trouble we all fled from the cities and villages, but were pursued by the wicked, who entered the houses of the saints with a sword. They raised the sword to kill us, but it broke, and fell as powerless as a straw. Then we all cried day and night for deliverance, and the cry came up before God.
